for some reason it opens and then closes again right away on my pc

Drag & Drop the miner .exe into a Windows CMD Prompt, press spacebar and then enter your settings besides the cpuminer part at the start since you already have the file pre-loaded in CMD.

Fixed, had to remove the .exe and just start with cpuminer

Don't forget you can add -t * to the end of you miner config (* Means number of cores you would like to use)

Without adding it, it uses all cores default to mine.

I've also noticed when using the latest Windows Binaried Miner it hangs every 5 minutes unless you keep the mining console active....

Windows binary of the ocminer's pool miner.

http://1.curecoinmirror.com/cpuminer-hmq1725.zip

Direct compilation of Ocminer's github repository, use at your own risk, yada yada. Seems to be running about ~50%-70% faster than the built-in solo miner. Tested working on an Intel (i7-5820k) and AMD (8350) with Win7 and Win10. And for anyone nervous about binaries, you only lose ~4% speed by running it in a VM, which is where you should run binaries from random people on the internet anyway.

Sorry about all the disgusting dlls, it's Cygwin and I'm not a Windows guy.

Thanks, working very well.

I don't know what's your problem but I'm actually doing no harm to your project at all, so there is no reason for bitching IMHO Smiley

My external Miner which is slightly faster than your internal miner because of the way the algo is implemented. Instead of reinitializing the algos everytime, it initializes the
algos only once and re-uses that for hashing. That was one of the very first and basic optimizations which were done for quark looong time ago. Rest assured that there will be more optimizations for sure shortly.

The external miner can be used for solo mining too without problems, just point it to your own wallet.

Hashrates on the pool should be pretty accurate already, of course it's a new algo so there is always stuff to tweak but in my tests everything was fairly ok.

I've corrected the header in the pool.

I've released everything under open source on my github:

https://github.com/ocminer?tab=repositories

You'll find the Miner Source, Hashing-module for pools etc.. Anyone can use that and start a second pool (Pool.mn is already working on one as far as I know, and I know about two others as well...)

As stated before I tried multiple times to compile for Win, but unfortunately I don't have or use Win anymore so I couldn't compile but this was done by Vorksholk now, thanks !

Please focus on the coin - not on me or the pool - thanks Smiley

ocminer, please excuse my rude behavior and do not hold it against us.

I've posted your pool on the OP and am NOT bitching anymore.

Thank you for all your hard work, lack of sleep clearly got to me personally and does not reflect the views of the rest of the team. Sadly the jerk that I am got the best of me there.

We are now rolling onto coin development. Again thank you for your hardwork, if there's anything we can do please let us know Smiley

edit: We will focus on you and the pool, with much thanks and promoting it... if you don't mind Smiley

Thanks, great work, I've added that to the Pool.

Difficulty is fast rising and getting hard to solo mine now, I hope there is an available cpu miner for windows soon that can connect to a pool.

We will re-engage the external miner, right now though, three more nodes and the auto-updater is what is about to be released.
To be perfectly honest it's pretty crappy to release a linux only miner and then go hop on a pool... Idk why anyone would be fine with paying a fee when they could solo. Again, we don't specialize in external miners, as such this is where we draw this view from.

Difficulty is fast rising and getting hard to solo mine now, I hope there is an available cpu miner for windows soon that can connect to a pool.

Same here. This coin looks more promising everytime I stop by.

Good job Devs. and growing community!

Thank you we are doing our best, although slower than we'd like.

Waiting cpu miner also.

well considering ocminer left out entire directories and has no intention of supplying or informing anyone on how to create a windows external miner you might be waiting for a little until our team has time to re-engage the external mining aspect.
Solo mining is still perfectly feasible and is currently our recommended method.
We don't support favoritism and that's exactly what is happening with supernova pool... linux only? C'mond guys....

Besides horribly inaccurate hashrates, requested this be addressed and received no response...
The rate vs payout is also horrible inaccurate.

Couldn't even get our project name correct:
"Suprnova's ESPCoin Pool // Algo: HMQ1725 // Pre-Reg now ! "

Since when are we ESPCoin? Does is state that anywhere in our thread? No....

I don't know what's your problem but I'm actually doing no harm to your project at all, so there is no reason for bitching IMHO Smiley

well, i did not develop any coin.
but i spend much time reading this forum, and when i am honest. i prefer it to not release any coin Wink

i just wanted you too calm down a bit, take your time (and a sleep of course) and relax (i never thought, that you want to run after dumping the premine, it was... well, it is my style of writing  Tongue )
so, i also want to apologize, for being not amused and answering in an affect of "wtf!".

additionally, i just compiled oc-miners miner with the help on page 21.
so it seems i am no help on your problem, compiling it.

We were also hesitant on releasing a blockchain as there are plenty of them out there and many are not done right.
However, we felt that we had something to bring to the community that no one else could.

Thanks, definitely will catch all them zzzzz's after these nodes and update to the client.
After this update we will work on the auto-updating feature for Mac clients.
Taking our time is one thing that we have overlooked. In fact this conversation with you has caused me to have to take a step back and evaluate my responses and the the way the team should progress (re-arrange goals to better suite development and not trying to appease everyone with bending to every demand thrown at us).

Great news on your successful compile however! Smiley
As we've said to everyone, if you need assistance, just let us know Smiley We are here for the community.

Finally, I personally understand the style of writing you mentioned as MOST if not all projects are pump n' dumps which is extremely frustrating and causes legitimate projects to have to bend over backwards to prove themselves, perhaps I need to straighten myself back out.

Anyway let's move on shall we? Next post by me will be with he updates. So it may be a little but it'l be a good one. (that way you can also get a break from me hehehehe.

as i am no woman, send me a bottle of your local beer and everything is fine  Tongue

oh well, bla, bla, bla...
no you are not allowed to sleep.
you should have thought about this, before you started developing and released a new coin...
i have a block explorer running locally to see what happens to the premine, had it running when your was coming online. so no need to reconfigure half of my network to get it accessible from outside.
i don't want to offense you, i meant it a little bit sarcastic, i always forget to add [sarcasm]-tags.
but what you are doing is the same i did minutes before (and in this post, careful, hidden sarcasm).
just wait one or another day and everything will be fine with the pool, external miner, win support and so on.

or do you want to get your coin to an exchange, dump the premine and run?
then you should be in a hurry, yes.

edit:
additionally i must say, i am able to compile many things under linux, not everything.
but i am not able to do so on windows.
what i don't like in crypto world... everybody thinks he has to get everything for free. why does nobody from the windows-guys try to compile the miner for win for themself?

Firstly I'd like to apologize, I did take fairly personally, which I shoudn't have.

As far as not allowed sleep... you can't very well expect us to be very functional without it Tongue

Seriously dump premine and run? We have our personal names posted and about to link our linkedIn's among many other things that would be seriously horrible ideas if we wanted to scam anyone.

Honestly I know everyone on the team except for Whywetrance is going to be holding onto the coins. I'll personally be buying large amounts off the markets once they come up. LTS is the goal.

Aiming for serious legitimacy and yes we are tired, so part of the rant is due to that.

Actually, there is a block explorer, sorry that we haven't linked it yet are we also not allowed sleep?
Supporting our coin? ONE pool, Linux only? Let's think about this...

and if you are stating this "you guys weren't able to come up with a block explorer, that needs about 30minutes to be done?"
then why don't you crap one out in 30 minutes if it's soooo easy?

THERE ARE ENTIRE DIRECTORIES MISSING? HOW IS THIS SUPPORTING US?!
