"Straight" is not possible. You have to prove that your "fins" have value in general. This is done only by selling them for bitcoins!
so, ... according to your reasoning, you 'claim' then, that ether has no value then, because a 'fin' (= 'abbreviation' of  finney = milli-ether = pwei = petawei = 0.001 ether ) ?  Undecided

i am just a 'noob' in crypto , and beginning to learn more about it ;
i just wonder, when 'common people' (like me) can pay with 'fins' in a shop , bakery, pub,  etc..... ?  Undecided

It is easy.
1. Convert all your "fins" in bitcoins.
2. Sell your bitcoins to me.
3. You now have fiat currency and can pay in a shop, bakery, pub etc.

nope, i would like it much easier ..... to pay 'fins' 'straight' to a shop, bakery, pub etc.  Tongue

Another Ethereum argument: ETH has the most developers working on its base protocol of all cryptocurrencies, Ethereum is by far the most active at 99 monthly developers on average. Bitcoin has a healthy developer base as well, averaging over 50 developers per month.

Ethereum Has More Than Twice as Many Core Devs per Month as Bitcoin, Report Says - https://cointelegraph.com/news/ethereum-has-more-than-twice-as-many-core-devs-per-month-as-bitcoin-report

in market now hyip more important than real development. tron have several times less devcores than eth but grow more. although people will eventually understand that real development is more important than short hyip.
And i can't even understand about what are you talking about because we have discussed about ethereum and bitcoin. grow more for what? look at btt and how Justin was taking the advantage from the early pump.
Even if that happen then this would be an amazing situation for the people around the world to know that ethereum is better than bitcoin in the developer side, but they were beaten in the users amount.

Ethereum will be the future unlike bitcoin which dont have a roadmap only lightning network which is offchain vitalik is trying to do something onchain even when it has raiden sooner we will see casper and sharding and ethereum shall be #1 i hope

This is the totally wrong when you compare ETH with BTC it doesn't make any sense because BTC is still ahead of all project in term of development and transparency and it has no competitor while on other side ETH have to face so many in coming days so it won't happen in future.

I am afraid never.. there is no such option that rulers will allow common people to become independent and opensource crypto couldn't be controlled enough
So I don't think it would be easy to use "fins" instead of fiat money..
But there is some shops accepting cryptocurencies over the world.

Oh, my friend.
I known the story of Hal Finney, who passed by years ago due to his disease.
After saw your thread, I have a bad feeling regards to the image.
Then, I searched and found the article.
https://www.coindesk.com/hal-finney-bitcoin-words
It is real image of Hal Finney, I guess based on Google Search results.
So, I think that you should not post it here, as the way you show your respect to Hal Finney.
He is one of the most honourable bitcoin developers.
you are right, i changed the image of a more happier moment of him and his caring wife Fran.

If you think ethereum is too risky, don't invest. I think ethereum has real potential and long-term investment decisions. If the founders make too much money, that's my good news Kiss

People who don't have any interest better move to another coin, ETH has very huge potential in the market due to market fluctuation the price of coin went very low in the market. I have strong faith in ETH price recovery we need to wait until the market starts recovering.

The one's who don't have a single idea of coding are the loudest to throw out criticism Grin  they are very comfortable making so much noise about someone else work even though they have nothing Undecided
i don't know what people want from eth, just like every other coin/token out there  eth is going according to market reaction, nothing is happening in the market, all coin/token are going at a very slow pace, can't do nothing about than be patient Wink

Don't know if there's any truth to the article but this made me really happy because if Samsung pay really integrate crypto to the payment platform we would be one step closer to the worldwide adaptation.

I believe so for the fact that ETH and BNB are two different cryptocurrencies of which if we compare the two, its very obvious that ETH has far more use cases and is a very superior than BNB. Smiley
isn't it, that BNB (binance coin) IS (till this moment anyway) a 'use case' of Ethereum platform ?
also, for every transaction of BNB's , there has to be a ETH 'gas fee' ?

I was referring to the more superior project in which ETH is the fuel for an ever growing Ethereum ecosystem whilst BNB is a utility token on Binance platform. Simply put, if we could see the total number of transactions for each coin since in the beginning, then we could deduce which coin is more superior. Imho:)

I was reading about the recent changes to DAI and how this raises effective cost of use.    Would it be true roughly to take this as a tightening kind of effect to ETH or is it just to fix parity back to 1 dollar.  Would it likely be bullish for ETH price even.   Apologies if I misread that, I havent been a user of that part of ETH myself

I do not understand your answer, ETH is not  superior to BNB? Are you speaking in case of use regarding BNB or ETH?

Where is the connection between ETH and BNB? One of the coins is an exchange and the other is a hub for smart contracts. Am I missing something here or what is your discussion about?
