Hi, and omg,

Good time in 2013, when I buy a pre-sale wallet, full of expectations. And now, in poor life. It's okay, simplicity shows me my strong structure way.

Nice to meet you here Bro, and Im not forget the Yellow Submarine.

Regards, Acigo.

The policy when working with regulators in the Ethereum ecosystem should suit everyone. White and black lists, blocking in smart contracts and a large number of level 2 solutions and even level 3 solutions will make Ethereum the main coin in the future.
This ecosystem has all the famous stablecoins and huge trading volumes.

I'm on the fence about that.  Sure, getting buddy-buddy with the regulators could help Ethereum become top dog one day by making it seem more legit.  But it could also backfire.  The regulators might force Ethereum to add a bunch of red tape that makes it harder for developers to create new apps.  Or worse, they could just ban certain kinds of transactions, which would be a punch in the guts.

So it's hard to say if getting regulators on board is worth the risk and  ethereum has done pretty well so far just doing its own thing without worrying what the higher-ups think.  Then again having the big bad government's blessing could convince more people to jump on the Ethereum train.  At the end of the day its hard to predict how it would all shake out.

Bitcoin has taken that major step forward with ETF approval therefore it is logical to accept others will be approved too. Ethereum is extremely centralised, everything you do with trading, NFTs to tokens and anything in between can be analysed with ease therefore it will appeal to the SEC. I think it will be approved in May (otherwise sometime before the end of the year).

Eric Balchunas' prediction of a 70% chance of the SEC approving an Ethereum spot exchange-traded fund (ETF) in May has sparked significant interest and speculation within the cryptocurrency and investment communities.

I was just asking this and have it on the other thread. So there have been bunch of ETH spot ETF applications already, I think that we're going to see the same vibe on how BTC's was approved.

That makes sense while there are a lot of competitors or let's say these competitors were also once part of the Ethereum ecosystem.
It's still the most sought-after network for smart contracts and most of the projects. It's also moving forward if many or even some of these eth etf spot applications will be approved soon.

While ETH is pumping, this thread should be flocked by most of those that are happy seeing it go up. But it seems that there's not that much on this thread but good to see that zasad is keeping up and have been an active contributor to this thread. Keep it up, mate.

"Eric Balchunas has predicted a 70% chance of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approving an Ethereum spot exchange-traded fund (ETF) in May. The SEC has multiple Ethereum spot ETF applications to review by the end of May, including those from VanEck, Ark 21Shares, and Hashdex. While digital asset lawyer Joe Carlasare believes an Ethereum spot ETF will be approved this year, he cautions that the approval process may take longer than some investors expect. As the cryptocurrency industry continues to mature and gain regulatory acceptance, the approval of Ethereum spot ETFs could potentially open up new investment opportunities for institutional Investors."

Ethereum has a good chance. The reason is in this post:

Donald Trump Sells 1,075 Ethereum Generated from NFT Collections: Arkham Intelligence
https://www.economywatch.com/news/donald-trump-sells-1075-ethereum-generated-from-nft-collections-arkham-intelligence
"Former U.S. President Donald Trump has sold 1,075 ETH, amounting to $2.4 million, from his non-fungible token (NFT) mugshot collections, according to Arkram Intelligence.

Trump’s NFT Cashout on Frenzy
In a recent development, an Ethereum wallet associated with former U.S. President Donald Trump has attracted attention for its substantial cryptocurrency activity, particularly in the sale of non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

According to a December 27 post by the leading blockchain intelligence firm Arkham on X, there has been a noteworthy change in Trump’s cryptocurrency portfolio over the last three weeks, involving the liquidation of approximately $2.4 million worth of ETH."

Does Trump need a couple of million, or does he know that the market will turn around soon? In my opinion option 2 is correct Smiley

"effective immediately, all bloXroute relays will reject  block bids if they contain OFAC transactions (Tx which interact with addresses appearing on the OFAC SDN list)

We remain committed to supporting ETH decentralized and permissionless nature...

Are you kidding?

Today is not the first of April and this is a bad joke.
This may be a rhetorical question, but if anyone wants to understand the problem in more detail, then look at the statistics and information in more detail:
https://beaconcha.in/relays
https://censorship.pics/

So far censorship is losing, and there are many addresses on the list.

bloXroute MEV Relays to reject blocks w/ OFAC tx

"effective immediately, all bloXroute relays will reject  block bids if they contain OFAC transactions (Tx which interact with addresses appearing on the OFAC SDN list)

We remain committed to supporting ETH decentralized and permissionless nature, while maintaining compliance with our legal jurisdiction

Ethereum is unstoppable, permissionless, and anti-fragile because it's decentralized and globally distributed, and not easily affected by any single entity, even if it has the best networking tech.

We look forward to seeing this having no effect except reducing our own win-rate"

https://www.theblock.co/post/267539/jpmorgan-ether-outperform-bitcoin-2024

"JPMorgan expects ether to outperform bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in 2024, although the bank remains generally "cautious" about crypto markets in the coming year.

"We believe that next year Ethereum will re-assert itself and recapture market share within the crypto ecosystem," JPMorgan analysts led by Nikolaos Panigirtzoglou wrote in a note on Wednesday. "The main catalyst is the EIP-4844 upgrade or Protodanksharding, which is expected to take place during the first half of 2024. We believe that this upgrade will likely prove a bigger step towards improving Ethereum network activity, thus helping Ethereum to outperform."

Protodanksharding is an initial step toward the full implementation of Danksharding, a more efficient form of sharding for Ethereum. Unlike the originally planned sharding technique, Danksharding avoids the complex process of splitting Ethereum into multiple shard chains. Instead, it introduces data blobs, temporary data packets attached to blocks, capable of holding more data than blocks but not permanently stored or accessed by the Ethereum virtual machine.

The upgrade is particularly beneficial for Layer 2 networks like Arbitrum and Optimism, JPMorgan analysts reiterated, as it provides an additional temporary data space to increase network throughput and reduce transaction fees for Layer 2 networks on Ethereum. In essence, data blobs enhance the efficiency of Layer 2 networks without altering the Ethereum block size."

https://eng.ambcrypto.com/the-state-of-l2-networks-as-curtains-draw-on-2023/
"The overall L2 sector reached an ATH in terms of daily active users.
Arbitrum outperformed other networks, but its token failed to see similar growth.
As optimism surged in the crypto sector, the Layer 2 [L2] space showed the most growth during this period. Notably, the daily active users on Ethereum’s [ETH] L2 surged to an unprecedented level, surpassing 800,000 at press time.

This remarkable growth signaled a rising interest and adoption of Layer 2 solutions, indicating a positive trend in the platform’s scalability and user engagement.

As more users turn to Layer 2 for enhanced transaction speed and reduced fees, the sector is poised for substantial expansion. This could result in a robust ecosystem in the coming years."

Ethereum has drastically reduced its energy consumption by 99% following a major software upgrade in 2022, significantly lowering its environmental impact to the level of just a few round-trip flights from London to New York annually.
This reduction sets a new sustainability standard in the cryptocurrency world, contrasting sharply with Bitcoin’s much higher emissions, and challenges the traditional view of blockchain technology as inherently energy-intensive.

Let's make this thread alive again, as Bitcoin has pumped to $36,000 once again and getting closer to the 3/4 of the ATH on 2021. ETH is also doing well.
As of typing this, $1900 is its current price and just a few more steps to get back to $2k and I think from there then it's going to be easy to reach the next price points of thousands like $3k on wards as we're about to enter into the bull run.

I am not a fan of Ethereum,  I don't even have the wallet in my device though I installed it in my device before but I uninstalled it back. And in the cryptocurrency ecosystem every active member will know that Ethereum is the second to bitcoin presently but we don't know if there will be a coin that will come and pass it from behind. Because cryptocurrency ecosystem is now a business platform where coins are competing seriously. All are always behind bitcoin. Bitcoin price presently is $37k and is still moving upward.

But the happiest part of it is that non can come close to the king of crypto bitcoin. For Ethereum to hit $1900, that shows it is doing well in the ecosystem. And this is the best time to invest. Why bitcoin is ahead of all the coins is because it creates avenue for people to have bitcoin without stress.
My opinion on Ethereum is that this coin will be the first because its ecosystem is used by large global financial companies. I don’t see any problems for Ethereum in the near future, but Bitcoin has a high energy consumption and its ecosystem is not developing as actively as the Ethereum ecosystem.

Understanding and unlocking the potential of Ethereum isn't too much difficult. It's proven and well-established right now. In the ever-evolving landscape of cryptocurrencies, Ethereum stands out as a pioneer, providing a decentralized platform for smart contracts and DApps. If ETH is set for a significant increase, then other projects in its ecosystem should also perform well.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/ethereum-rollups-gold-standard-revisit-plasma-buterin
"Ethereum’s rollups are ‘gold standard’ but Plasma needs a revisit — Buterin
Vitalik Buterin called the early Ethereum scaling solution Plasma “underrated” and a “significant security upgrade” for chains that would otherwise be validiums.
Plasma, a once-prominent Ethereum layer-2 scaling solution, should be revisited by teams currently working on zero-knowledge (ZK) Ethereum Virtual Machines (EVMs), said Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin.
Invented in 2017, Plasma diverts data and computation — except deposits, withdrawals and Merkle roots — to an off-chain environment."
