Ethereum is also finally showing signs of life! And not without reason. This monday block 4,370,000 is expected to be mined, triggering the first part of the biggest upgrade for ETH till date. Ethereum will undergo the so called 'Metropolis' Hard Fork. Unlike BitcoinCash, this doesn't split ETH into another blockchain but rather just upgrade the old version. The ETH upgrade is scheduled in two parts: Byzantium and Constantinople. Byzantiam is scheduled to hit the main net this monday. This is the reason ETH is picking up popularity and we're definitely telling you to consider adding more ETH till at least the 16th.

To that end, UNICEF's work has largely focused on open-source public blockchains like bitcoin and ethereum, the latter of which, through its ERC-20 standard is responsible for the recent influx of ICO tokens. The organization began accepting ethereum donations to its own ethereum address in August as part of a study on smart contracts and has raised about $600-worth of ether at current prices.
UNICEF is now running what Fabian believes is the first public ethereum node managed within the U.N., and this is primarily a mechanism to learn more about the tech.
"We're using that because we think it's important for our team to understand [ethereum smart contract language] Solidity and kind of have a sense of what an ERC token looks like, how that would work," Fabian said............

I have an anticipation that Ethereum will fall to around 250 USD near the fork. If this happens, believe me I would do the best I can and stock ETH as much as I can. Because I am sure that after the Metropolis is applied, Ethereum, which normally cruise around $280-300, will put at least another $100 on its price. For example, this means that an investment of 10,000 TL will result in a profit of 3400 TL. I believe in the future of Ethereum.
I am losing already om Ethereum but since I am a newbie in trading its ok since its not a big amount though significant. I know Eth will rise after the metropolis implementation as it is a good for the community that it will drive its price up. Thanks for the compliments..

Less than 0.000001% IMHO. There's no debate inside the community on whether or not Byzantium is a good idea: it's an improvement. Period.

In official blog therei is nothing about how difficulty will change after Byzantium. I read that ice age is delayed for one year but now difficulty is already high because of diff bombs every month. So will Byzantium make difficulty lower? Guys, perfect news for Ethereum fans and holders. I think we should expect some price pump very soon. This is a very good sigh for investors to trust their money into ETH.

I hope there is the chance that the price of ETH will increase to more than 400$ mark very soon. Maybe it won't be long because the price ETH is kept circulating at the 300$ only so the next stop is at 500$.

Now everything falls down on the threshold of the hardfork. Everybody was crazy on this idea. Everyone wants to get coins for free.
I think there will not be two chains. So only one coin.

It's not only eth that is dipping, all altcoins are having the same fate now because of the incoming btc gold fork this october too. People are trading their altcoins for btc in the hope of having equal amounts of Goldbtc after the fork just like btc cash.
are you serious? bitcoin gold doesn't seem to have too much traction. no website and pretty sparse information available.
the downtrend on alts could come from the fact that there are simply too many. and people realize they can't all be successful.
