syncing with bootstrap update

started about 19 hrs ago.
daemon is still using heavy resources. cpu fluctuating between 30 -90 %. memory about 60% (single core vps, 512mb ram, 1gb swap)
daemon is still unresponsive to any calls.

leiman, try stopping and starting. and let it continue from where it is.
does it update further by itself via downloading ??

when i was having problems syncing,
the daemon would end up with cpu load around 40% and would be very sluggish to getinfo - or not respond at all.

i would restart (or kill) and it would slowly start updating again .. i cant recall the resource load on startup.

I had just dropped it into another Windows box and Linux to test and didn't have to rename it. The plan is this: we're going to see how the sync reacts for those who've already mentioned issues. I'm going to verify in roughly now 7 hours from this point if after a stake is eligible that the client doesn't lock up or freeze on the block at which it became so. The backup plan is that in the worst case scenario, we push the fork block back, folks re-download the new version, I re-analyze the code and see what could be potentially causing it, fix it, and re-release it. I'll be monitoring everything that comes in regarding it during the interim.

My EXCL wallet is wanting to ''Force close'' (Crashed on desktop) but it is updating as the blk0001.dat is getting bigger.

Loads faster then downloading tho Tongue

Just deleted that content , copied the new blk0001.dat , but the wallet started to sync all the block from the beginning...

it will take some time, but nvm - important that will sync 100%
wait and see...

Yes, I had to rename it to bootstrap.dat. It is now is saying importing bootstrap data.

My EXCL bootstrap is only using 8% on CPU

maybe mine will finish quicker. lol

Just tried that now and it is the same. block 1085000 98.58%.

It was updating perfectly fine until my 40 excl staked :/.

I've put 1000 EXCL in my wallet. In about 8 hours (stake minimum as of now) we'll see if the same occurs or not. I'll keep everyone posted.
