We'll be working on that list In the meantime I'm working on a way to streamline initiatives like these. Right now they are only snippets located on TitanPad, but eventually I would like to dedicate forum posts to this when we have a place of our own :-)

I've marked this as the FairTrade Initiative. So me and Thokon00 (still have to ask him, but he wanted to contribute on this initiative, so it'll be okay lol) will coach you where ever we can.

I think that first we need to establish what we want to do for World Fair Trade. (Did you know it's World Fair Trade Day today BTW? So Happy World Fair Trade Day ).

We need to cherry pick the best options. Having the option to pay only for fairtrade products with FairCoin sounds like a great idea, but might still be a bit out of our league yet. It's certainly something where we can work towards though...

What are your thoughts on this? What goal is achievable? I certainly have some ideas ;-)

edit: one more note; I'm not sure what the structure of Fair Trade actually is. There are so many fair trade sites. Something we need to find out as well.

I'm in touch by email with a guy from italian fairtrade office (I'm from Italy) and we are discussing about that.
Since he knows nothing about cryptos, he's asking for a list of merchants' sites all around the world accepting faircoin and generally cryptos to better figure out how big  our community is. Do you know where can I find a list like that?

There're currently no issues with the wallet/blockchain.

Which version are you running ? what OS ?
In case of local sync issues we suggest backing up wallet.dat file and delete everything else from that folder. Now close faircoin-qt and run faircoin-qt -rescan feature.

The same as always, v0.9.0.1. A new version of the wallet will be released in the near future. A link to the wallet can be found in the openingpost. As you can validate, it's at this moment the same as the link in the old ann post.

I think it would be good to keep the handshaking symbol from the original logo and implement that in the second one's design. That would be perfect! Just my opinion though...

about the logo, i certainly will change the logo written whenever the dev team and the community had agree about the text
and about the concept of the logo, as you can see in previous posts and pages, there are several ideas about it and it cant be done in this way
we need to agree in one general idea and i will implement that in the design
so please PM me or post here about what exactly i must to add or remove from the logo

April 15th, 2014:
Original DEV takes a little more than 3 Million Faircoins out of cold storage and deposits them into 2 wallets:

He is getting ready to make another dump, but needs a big pump first, to maximize his revenue.

So, on April 20th, 2014, he annouces:
"Today officially started collaborating with an outside investor for a new project."
And waits for the price to skyrocket again.

This time, however, his announcement is met with skepticism and the price of Faircoin remains the same or declines.

As we know now, the "Outside Investor" put out a contract on the DEV and sent out Leetrump-The-Hitman to make it "look like a car accident".

Fast forward to April 23rd, 2014:
As the original Faircoin DEV laid on his back in a Parisian ambulance headed towards the nearest hospital, everyone - including the French police and the Ambulance technician - thought he was dead. Miraculously, he regained conscience, and lifted his head up. The nurse sitting next to him gasped in shock and screamed. He was still alive after all, his heart beating ever so faintly.
He managed to take out his cell phone and dialed the number for his BFF Vandalay23.
DEV: Vandalay, listen to me carefully. I have just survived an attempt on my life and I will be out of commission for a while. I want you to announce to the FAC community that I have abandoned ship. I want you to take over and save the 3 Million coins I have in my 2 wallets. I will sell them later when the price goes back up to 6000 sat again.

Alas, word spreads out and the community mourns the death of DEV.

Seizing the opportunity he has been waiting for since the launch of Faircoin, Doctor A. Kandar plots a bloody coup d'etat.
He calls for a take-over of the coin and communicates with like-minded conspirators:
DeeHarrietta Potter: Has irresistible convincing powers. Likes to hold a wand in her left hand and wave it to make a point.
3DCoiner: While Doctor A. Kandar is the brain, 3DCoiner is the brawn. He wears a black cape imprinted with colored 3-D coins, and immediately appoints himself Community Manager.

In a dark room in the back alleys of IRC, with the curtains drawn shut, the three conspiratots meet and plot:
Doctor A. Kandar: We are now in control, and the putsch is irreversible:  I created a FairCoinTeam Organisation and forked the sources. In time, I can stage another 51% attack, better and bigger than the first one, staged by the original DEV. We stand to make millions of coins for ourselves after we roll-back the blockchain a second time.
DeeHarrietta Potter: Bansheroom is trying to stand in our way. He posted "This is really annoying. Just because they are one week late now, there is no reason to "steal" this coin".
3DCoiner: Don't worry about him Dee... you can use your convincing powers to shut him up, or I will put out a contract on him and make it look like a car accident.


The three conspirators burst into one loud evil laughter, shake hands and quietly leave the room.
