if there are any other fastcoin miners out there who would liek to compare notes please pm me. I have tried this coin in a pool and it's been a disaster - my basic problem is that at least 20% of the blocks found never make it to the wallet and do not show up as orhphans either.

I see that block hash but it never gets into the coins wallet - which basically make it useless to even attempt to mine the coin.

I have a sneaking suspicion that the block chain is so big from 20 seconds blocks that the wallet simply cannot keep up any longer.

I could be wrong. I've even tried turning off writing shares into the mpos database out of fear that the time required to write a record in the database may have caused the problem but that had no effect - I find lots of blocks but probably never get credit for 50% of them.

if you're interested PM me or email me at [email protected]

thanks in advance.

any idea how to reduce the amount of orphans when mining? @200mh/s i get ~80-90% orphans....

Lower your intensity... set config to --queue 0 --scan-time 1 --expiry 1

any wallet settings? I'm running it on a pool, but seems it's too much to handle efficiently...

Wallet settings? I'm not quite sure what you're asking there, running it on a pool?
Please explain your situation a bit more and I'll do my best to help you...

my pool gets ~80-90% orphans when mining FST.... are there any tweaks to the daemon to get better results?

Pool up and running finding blocks. NOMP based. Check my signature for pool.

Added your NOMP based pool; http://diggerpool.com to the list of pools on the forum.

Wow, pools are scarce. I am adding this coin to my pool so I can mine. Others are welcome as soon as the coin is added. Synchronizing the blockchain now....

Nope:
12 seconds block target      (Fastcoin) vs. 20 seconds PoS and 90 seconds PoW (Supercoin)
48 seconds tx. confirmation (Fastcoin) vs. 1 minute (Supercoin)

Just export your private keys and import them into a new wallet. The tx could have very well been broadcast into an orphan block is all.

Any updates on new or current working pools?

The pool's are regularly updated on the FastCoinTalk forum, there are threads in which users can discuss their opinions on various pools as well as the pool operator's who offer suggestions on proper miner configuration tailored to your specific hardware.
