I've just brought 400 FST, but ever time I try to download the client (https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B37Llt3dDAzHWUQ2VENySHcxMG8&usp=sharing) it says "that the image is corrupted. Are you sure you want to open it" or something and then it wont let me open the program. I've deleted and reinstalled. Any ideas? Are there electronic LTC wallets?

And can you mine FST on a MAC ?

I am having the same issue, the new client (0.8.5.1) does not sync...

Any fix for it...?

If you are having problems resyncing, you can simply create a new folder named backup under your %appdata%/fastcoin folder and move all the files into that folder. (except your wallet.dat file)

Open up your fastcoin.qt.exe and wait for the main window to appear. (Might take a minute.)

You can click Help > Debug Window and review the current amount of blocks that your client has downloaded.

A transaction was sent out a few days ago from MiningPool.co and has yet to turn up in the miners wallet or on the block chain.

Is it possible for a transaction to just get lost? I can't remember this happening before, ever.

Sure, all this things are terrible.
mulltipools are evil.
When diff on FST drops - they are in, with really big hashrates, thing 1gh or more, so my pool for ex. having about 60-100 mh just had all blocks orphaned for at least 300 blocks, while diff will raise and multipools switch to another 'victim coin'.
Think we need change diff retarget algo on fastcoins for eliminate such jumps.

you dont have to avoind FST. If you are just for the winning in mining then offcourse you could better coins.
But i would suggest that you should invest a bit in FST. It has potential for a 10x increase of worth.
The risk-reward-ratio is damn good, there not many coins which offer this.
It is because FastCoin has some unique benefits over other coins.

There's something very strange happening today.
FST's difficulty is constantly jumping up and down.

From the graph at miningpool.co, it seems that someone with a ~200MH/s farm is switching to Fastcoin farming until the difficulty doubles, switching probably to another low difficulty coin.
He then comes back when the difficulty halved ~2 hours later.

Because Fastcoin difficulty can change in less than 30mn if there's too much raw H/s, but then decrease only 2 hours after, every other miners have to put up whith a much higher than intended difficulty, as seen by the current 1.1mn block time instead of a normal 30s.

The guy who's doing this is abusing the power he invested in to gather for 15-25mn probably multiple coin in a 2-3 hours rotation, gaining more than he should, and making every other miners gain much less.

In this particular case, the insta-mining protection of Fastcoin is penalizing normal miners, while doing it's job to prevent the big farmer guy to get a low difficulty for too long. But this protection is only for this coin, and nobody can prevent him to change his coin target every 20mn :/

Any viable solution to this ?

- difficulty switched to 0.52897305
- 15mn after, total hashrate jump from ~190MH/s to 410MH/s
- 15mn after, difficulty jump to 1.1156033
- hashrate drops to ~200MH/s in a few minutes
- average block time is now > 1mn for every other miners for more than 2 hours
- Yay ! T_T

It's like sabotage. Having someone coming just to profit for 15mn at the expense of every one else for 2 hours is really depressing.
Gonna switch back to LTC where nobody can affect the difficulty like that.

Block forks. It takes time for mined blocks to reach the whole network, in the mean time more blocks may be mined forking the chain.

Sounds like such a great concept for cryptocurrency (I mean transaction speed). Does anyone know the drawback of having a coin this fast? I feel like there has to be a hidden/inevitable drawback. I mean otherwise, why aren't all these new alts as fast as this? Also are the devs for this coin still active?

FastCoin is about to blast off.  Still way undervalued for a coin with a great concept, great name, great development.
