Personally? Well I'd run a masternode for any coin if I believed in its future development or if its easy to obtain and I had spare resources
Unfortunately most new altcoins are a "lottery" there are no gaurantees with any altcoin as you've probably seen. Prices can also fluctuate wildly even with established cryptocurrencies.
