Its a pitty that their focus of infrastructure use is too narrow, i.e. limited to mining only. I can imagine the tokens to be rented in future for several different use-cases (cloud services, HPC, hosting ...).
If this project survives, and they satisfy the condition that all the tokens on their platform are rentable (not only 30-70 % of them as now), the pontetial is quite good.
At the lowest rent price now of 4.20 ¢/kWT/h, 1 token can generate $0.3 neat profit per year, which is 15 % roi at the token price of 2 $. Moreover, you can still trade the token.
In future, however, the electricity costs will hardly decrease so the token will be for sure rented at more competetive prices than now.

OK, thank you! I want to sell them and saw that they have a WTT-Token-Wallet. so it is possible to sell it there and get ETH or BTC for it, right?
No, currently HitBTC does nor allow nor deposit WTT tokens from outside, nor send them somewhere if you had bought them on HitBTC.    I bought a few hundred of wtt there in September for about 1.3$ , but was not able to withdraw.   Finally I sold them on HitBTC for 2.5$ somewhre in December, because they don't give ANY indication when they will allow to withdraw.

Yes, thats sadly true! Wanted to deposit WTT but than I got the message that this is not possible yet. :-(

But if i move the tokens to the Giga-Watt wallet i can rent them ? What's the roi ?

1. yes, you can rent them out
2. 4.2 cents/KW/h if you rent to large customers with > 100 miners. But you won't be able to rent out all tokens. Approx. 40-60%.

One will be able to rent out all tokens after all miners will be deployed, I think.    At the beginning, is Sep-Oct one could rent 100% tokens at the lowest 4.2 rent.

And it gives about 30% a year. not 60 Smiley

You will receive an email notification once your miner is up and running.  Please check your registered email address(the one you used to purchase the miner). This email contains the notification with a username with temporary password. It seems Giga-watt team uses your original email id for security reasons and you don't have the option to modify it. Account clearly shows three different categories - Rewards, WTT_Rent and Hosting_Fee.

The mobile app is really cool and very handy.

My miners started to hashing today after 7 months. I can also confirm that miners have been using my tokens (They were rented out earlier).  I do understand that it is a bit frustrating to wait when BTC/ETH/LTC coin prices were shot up in the past two months and we couldn't ride the wave. However, I would like to point out one of earlier posts -  "When virtual world meets real world these kinds of delays do happen".  We are spoiled with the speed of getting many online items immediately and started to expect that the same from this project, but it took many years and huge effort to establish e-commerce businesses which we don't realize. So this kind of delay is not uncommon in terms of real-world work, please note that I am not defending giga-watt, just stating facts related to project scope and related risks.

For example, to build a mobile tower from purchasing or leasing land to make it operational requires clearance from 33 different govt departments(dealing with govt departments are always process oriented and time-consuming). So I believe giga-watt encountered an issue with one of the regulatory approval processes, hence the project has been delayed.

One more -  Dave is also coming from tech background stepping into the business world now(Software developer to CEO) and I believe he is learning tricks of the trade - Managing expectation.  Techie guys are not natural business people due to different personality types -  I hope he will manage that expectation area well next time.

So, please put this is an early adopter experience and move on. I hope that your miners and tokens will show up on your account soon!

Good luck to everyone!
Congrats, will go check mine too.......
Naah, not so lucky, no miners showing quite yet.

I just downloaded the Gigawatt app for the I-phone. The app looks really good and useful. I was hoping for something like this.
I personally at this point would discourage downloading and using any mobile app, their support is already overloaded and they do not reply, so with the added problems of a mobile app (spyware) you could be waiting years for a reply.

For informations, there are a total of 17,3m of tokens in circulation and 25,875m in total. I don't understand why the doesn't correct the value on coinmarketcap - maybe to keep the price stable.

Owner or issuer of the token need to write to coinmarketcap about this.   This is not uncommon - for example coinmarketcap shows Zclassic Circulating Supply to be 1.8 mln coins, while it is 3 mln.

GW has just launched an application in Apple Store. Very nice and usefull, by the way. So they continue to develop their business.

Nice sales pitch for WTT tokens, but it will be more nice if my miner is running  Undecided

Is the project currently operational? is there any plan for 2018 and beyond?
Developments that are available can not just disappear, so if the work is not being done, on which project does the team work?
Yes, they are operational, they have build a few facilities, and some more under finishing stages.  Many miners are already mining, and more to start within next monthes.

Definetely not a scam.

Any good news?

My tokens were issued about 2 weeks ago and I'm generating some income on renting. But my 2 miners aren't up yet. Anyone recently get their miners up and running?

Same here. I purchased my antminer early juli. Still waiting in hardware deployment que. When did you purchase the miners by GigaWatt?
