Hello!

Feel free to join us at our new Globe Pool:

http://globe.ecoining.com

Stratum, VARDIFF, PPLNS, DDOS protection, english & spanish support, and soon very few confirmations.

First five miners to point their miners in our pool get 0% free forever.

Cheers!  Smiley

Yay  Smiley, One more pool. I think its important we distribute the hash. Would appreciate it if some people headed to this pool.

Nicely done Smiley, maybe round a bit the image corners and it will be perfect.

I really enjoy mining globe, this coin is running in the "background" of all the others and don't receive as much criticism (17000 views soon !). I'm not a Dev and I haven't a lot of knowledge, but for using, owning and following more than 30 different cryptos (a lots of crappy ones) I can say that it sounds really good for Globe.
Using SHA-512 was a great idea. Hash rate goes up slowly but surely and miners are quiets. Maybe many other users think the same as me but don't want to generate an huge interest before owning a lot of coins. It's gonna be huge in 2014 man. Most of people I've talked about it found potential in Globe. I'm going to bump my thread on ecoiner, they have a small but growing community and the Admin say that Globe sounds promising. Maybe I can get some new miners in and why not opening a thread in the bitcointalk french board to talk more freely about it to my communty as english isn't my language.

A small giveaway for a cryptsy and coinedup vote would help to be more known as i've seen yesterday your previous ones were bumped. But maybe waiting a bit the time for you to be sure about the recent auctioning changes would be better before trying to grow Wink

Yeah trying to gather some coins before the diff jumps really high Smiley

Sent you some GLB by the way for your help Wink

Thanks for all your support. Trying to do my best considering my limited technical abilities Smiley

Hey sorry for the late reply. Just created one : http://s9.postimg.org/a3pf7ijcv/Globe_Accepted.png

Seriously, I feel dumb now. I solved the problem. Want to know what I did? I named the config file "globecoin.conf", but the wallet is looking for "globe.conf". I found out when I tried to start the wallet with the "-server" tag, after which you get that popup that you have to specify user/pass in the conf file.

Thanks for the help. If you want some globe, post your address Smiley

Hahaha No problem.  Smiley This cryptocurrency is called "Globe" . No need to send me GLB Wink .

Yeah, kind of stupid, but I kept changing the .conf file I already had, and when you start the QT in the normal way, it does not say anaything about no config file.

By the way, now I have the wallet working, I started some solo mining. I am getting 7.99999999 globe per block, instead of the 10 stated in the TS. Could you tell me where the difference is coming from?

EDIT: Oh, wait, that is the tax of course Smiley

Have u thought of adding globe to coinwarz? or http://ispace.co.uk?
Many people start mining when they see the coin there. Im not sure to which exchange coinwarz is linked to, but maybe there could be a possibility.

In your globe.conf keep the nodes and replace this :

Quote
listen=1

maxconnections=100
gen=0

genproclimit=-1

rpcuser=xxx
rpcpassword=xxx
rpcport=9031

p2pport=9031
rpcallowip=*
server=1

daemon=1

with this :

Quote
listen=1
daemon=1
server=1
rpcuser=username
rpcpassword=pass
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=8682

Did that, no effect. What is the current version of the QT?
