pitops you can open a new cmd prompt and use it like a normal wallet. Once the blank binary is running open a new cmd navigate to the location of your binary once in the same folder type the name of the file in this case globed followed by a command: e.g. globed getinfo   Here are a list of all the commands : https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/API_reference_(JSON-RPC). Some useful ones:

getinfo: gets you data on coin number of blocks connections etc
getmininginfo: gets you mining data hashes per secound etc
getnewaddress: gets yourself a new globe address
setgenerate true 16: starts mining Globe

hey thanks got it up and running. my next question is with getmininginfo it says 0 blocks etc, is this normal?

hmm does it come up with an error message at all? Try running the file via cmd I have windows 7 seems to be working fine.

Just keeps saying I need to set my RPC user / pass in globe.conf (but I have that in there... so not sure what the issue is...

are you sure you saved it in the right place and format .conf not for example globe.conf.txt. Maybe try re-starting Smiley

Can you post your .conf file minus your private info? I made a .conf file but I must have done something your exe doesn't like.

Sure,

rpcuser=USERNAME
rpcpassword=PASSWORD
rpcport=8682
addnode=81.107.45.67
rpcallowip=*

sphere, sorry about being sceptic but i have to be Smiley

i couldn't make it anyway. i configured the conf file with everything and tried to call "globed getinfo" but it only says couldn't connect to the server

are you going to release a gui qt wallet soon?

let me guess the binary was not running Smiley run the globe binary (the blank flashy thing) and then do globed getinfo. Do it a couple times because sometime windows can be annoying.

I assure you this is not some random virus or xxx bad thing . Feel free to run virus checks and anything else to assure yourselves. ( i probably could not code a virus or wallet stealer anyway)

Ok i just downloaded the version i linked. To my knowledge nothing is meant to appear. Once the binary is running open a new cmd --> navigate to the location of the binary and enter the rpc commands e.g. getinfo or getnewaddress

On both WinXp and Win7, a cmd prompt asks you to set an RPC password on the config file. After you do, the cmd prompt is empty and the wallet doesn't appear.

I'm destroying the virtual machines I used to test this. Doesn't smell good.
same here

blocked on a simple firewall before starting it but hope this is not collecting our wallets

and why even a 67 mb client after all?
