Is it possible to have 2FA in a wallet. That's something that I haven't seen.

well if you encrypt the wallet, people need the password to send or unlock . . . stops most people . . but when they hack you and keylog shit there isnt a whole lot you can do . . .

Of course, the encryption is the first layer of defense once your pc is compromised but then you'd also have 2FA.

If that truly is the address then we got lucky, cos Canada just happens to be a place where I have loads of connections. I don't have much hope of getting the coins back, but at the very least we might be able to sell off some of their personal items to cover our costs.

The address is 20 minuites from my house, how lucky is that. I got better than friends.  I got an uncle in the RCMP . . Ive already called him, he told me to gather everything I can find on this, its going to be a criminal matter now.

I'll make it my mission to follow those coins till they hit an exchange.  And when they hit an exchange I will have another IP address and an account that they were sent to . . those coins will either die or someone will be arrested for this pretty simple.

I know which wallets are the exchanges in the block explorer, when it moves i'll know exactly what exchange its on, and it will be as simple as asking them to inform me of what registered account deposited them.

Ive opened support tickets at all the exchanges were listed @ they are aware of this problem and glad to help when the time arises.

Wow. Nice work. Wish I could help, but I don't have much technical knowledge when it comes to this stuff. I do however have access to that part of Canada and would be more than happy to send some people round to have a 'chat' with the person(s) involved if you can get an exact address?

That's some OG stuff right there. Yep, call "THE GUY" and drop by hacker dudes place for a talk.

Here is where both of our coins went to.

http://gpucoin.explorers.altcoinsteps.com/tx/e88ba0f53b5057107e34b33d62dad087dd958ca1da581d10e5f999bc39eee9ce

and here is where they sit now

http://gpucoin.explorers.altcoinsteps.com/address/GWzVctD9vjz9bM7ZwrxbhBqrR2BGTupTh4

the IP that did this is 198.27.91.180  traces back to an ISP in Montreal.  and the customer Postal code for that account traces to a single address in toronto . . 40 godstone cres an apartment building

here is the well used BTC address that has my stolen bitcoin as well.  the address ccex withdrew to.  it has alot of transactions behind it.  Im hoping that in working with the big exchanges they will be able to tie the address to an account. Wether sent to the exchange or sent to that wallet, there is a record somewhere this shit isnt anonomyous

Yes the 770000 were mine. Also 1btc as well. My Yobit account is the only one that doesn't have 2FA for withdrawals, which is why I suspect it was the only that got cleaned out.

So things are unfurling into a ridiculous story over here.

So yesterday i downloaded the Ibank wallet . .trying to put my Scrypt asic to use . .  when I downloaded the wallet i ran it, it never started and the QT file disappeared.  i thought to myself damn thats shit and moved onto mining tips on Aika.  didnt think much of it.  i signed into my email, replied to a few, half hour later gmail went crazy saying unauthorized use was stopped.  i secured my account and didnt think much more of it.  went to bed.  Woke up this morning and went to check my GPU and see the stake . .hadnt staked since 3 am . . then i noticed that my 1.2 million was transfered out to a new wallet. . . . then i was thankful i at least had a hundred k on CCEX . . i go look there . .someone dumped my GPU and transfered out my BTC to their personal wallet.

Now i notice that my thread was edited @ 12 pm last night . . i was asleep . . the links have been changed and replaced with a virus wallet.

Yup. Just what I thought. Only people (like myself) who tried to download the wallet in the last 24hrs will be affected.
