So having heard nothing for a while from the founder I perused the dedicated GPUcoin website yet found nothing recent there save about 81 spammy posts from some user calling himself paterickfag.  Maybe I got left behind here and everyone else is hanging out somewhere on a GPUCoin smartphone app?  At any rate, I decided to get out while I could get still my mining investment back.  It was I who tanked the coin on Yobit today - yes I'm the idiot who bought the book this time.  Weak hands have left the building.

I actually made a little bit on this venture but it's not nearly enough to retire on (as I had hoped) so I'm going donate a tiny bit to a worthy charity.  I'm creating a bitcoin address that begins with 1GPUCoin from which I will send the coin.  I'm thinking in some way it will immortalize the existence of GPUcoin in the bitcoin blockchain.  I would appreciate suggestions for charities that accept Bitcoin.  I'll update here once the donation is sent.

did you see it broke 100 sats !!! whoever bought that load you sold is laughing all the way to the bank for sure !!

 Yeah thanks!
I also missed the 100 sats in July when I was on vacation.  I wasn't meant to be the guy to make it rich on this coin Wink
Good luck to the holders!

GPU COIN IS STILL ALIVE - KEEP HOLDING !!!

Postby white92d15b7 » Sun Sep 25, 2016 1:57 pm

GPU COIN is still alive and well. I'm working on the coin on a frequent basis.

I am no longer using Bitcointalk.org I have tried to make a new ANN several times, I just get banned for SPAM. I have made numerous attempts to regain control of the original account. I ask myself "Why draw traffic to something that doesn't have any current GPU Coin information and only misleads people to think its a dead shit coin"

You can reach me on Bitcoin Garden, Twitter, here @ usedgpus.com, Slack, BBM, Yobit - I am White92d15b7 everywhere.

Thanks for the continued support, onwards and upwards.

*** If someone could post a link to this thread on BCT it would be much appreciated ***

Thanks for update, that's stupid, guess I should have told them before sending a letter to return address from winning gpu, from the gpu dev, what next , a handwriting sample from original envelope ? lmao ,really c'mon guy proved its him, not the fake.

Thanks for trying, the though is what counted for alot.

Ugh.

White said that he got banned from here (YET AGAIN!) for trying to open up a new ANN since, despite all evidence given, they still refuse give him control back of his original account. So he's given up posting anything here.  Roll Eyes

The spam on the forum is unfortunate and gets hit by spammers frequently, but keep in mind there is maybe 3 people who moderate it, myself included, and I do not visit there daily.
I cleared it out and banned the spammer.
The coin is not dead, dev is still around, just not here. You can thank BCT for that.

Such an idiot to dump like that. I also would've bought them at a much better price. A couple good things did come out of it though, those coins are in stronger hands and the buy support has a much stronger foundation now. The next person who wants to dump like an idiot will have to dump twice as many to get it down to the same level.

Just build a buy wall at exchange with your coins.
I see.  If I build it they will come?
Still I don't understand somebody dumping so low.  Was it the thief again?

Wow!  Somebody just took a huge dump on YoBit and just tanked the coin.
If you're reading this, I would have paid 0.00000030 each for the lot.  Why not post them for a price rather than buy the book like that?!

This coin don´t need a miner? How it works?

   GPU is 100% POS (proof-of-stake).

Purchase some coin and send it to your P.C. Wallet and after it builds up some stake weight, if you leave it open, it will make you more coins.

   Maybe this will help:    https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/700-proof-of-stake-explained-rough-draft/

Mining is finished now.  We are only staking @ 15%.
You can buy coins on the exchanges.

So 5 days ago we got an online staking wallet.  I decided to drop 20 000 GPU in it.  I also dropped 20 000 to a wallet that is always on.  Kind of a stake race.  Trying to see if there is some benefit to this online staking wallet idea.

So far:

Online wallet has earned 44.6 GPU

The PC wallet staking just as long has only netted me 29

Seems that the online wallet is far better.  I'm sure the gains are proportionate as per your balance . .

My only concern would be the security and longevity of the online wallet.

I still haven't made my innitial deposit fee back, so im gonna say this is designed to be a long term thing.  good for holders.

From the wallet:

moneysupply" : 46783622.94187389  I think max supply is over 225 billion . .  We should be staking for at least 10 years.
