We have several other Gunbroker sellers getting set up and ready to accept GUN as well, including several vendors whose entire operation in on Gunbroker.  Once they are set up and ready to go, we will provide links to their stores there.

We are seeing good number of signup on the new wallet so far. We hope this helps a lot with any potential new retailers out there getting on board with Guncoin.

I played around with mine a bit and discovered that this has the potential to be an awesome tool, of course.

Registration takes a mere few seconds, allowing someone or a business to have a wallet ASAP.

Also, that I can use it as a "mobile phone wallet" that uses the web, by using my phones QR code reader and clipboard, pasting the receiving address into mine, then sending direct to another wallet.

That was probably planned, but it was a nice surprise Smiley

Yes, so far it has been well received and we are seeing coins moving there minutes after people sign up.  And yes, you can walk into a store and pay with this web wallet standing right there using your phone or their computer.  While we feel it is very safe and secure, we have plans to add a few more features over time to add more value to and make it even more useful.  Additionally, when we move to GUN Core V1.5 soon, this wallet will get upgraded to the new one immediately as well. So if you want to summarize what Team Guncoin has accomplished over the last month with community support.......

1) Upgraded to GUN Core V1.4
2) Locked in SEGWIT and CSV at 75% and way beyond.
3) Launched the Official Guncoin Mining Pool at http://guncoinpool.com
4) Seen multiple real firearms related transactions using GUN at a major online auction site.
5) Launched the Official GUN Web Wallet at http://mygunwallet.com.

All that in less than 10 weeks!  Not bad I say.......We have updated the roadmap for V1.5 to include Bitcoin Core 0.16.x as well, since that is the current bitcoin core code available - that will bring us totally current with everything out and Lightning Network compatible.

Yep, not bad at all, pretty good actually.

Lots going on.

Why not offer space for advertisement within the Gun coin website as well where one must purchase and pay with Gun coin?  It would be the safest haven for 2nd Amendment supporters, and The Fire Arms industry the may find it hard to have a platform over the internet in general.     Also, can you explain Gun coin Gold and Gun coin Silver?  Are they completely different coins on a completely different network?  Will they added to the total amount of Gun coins in the current existence? Is there a future plan to migrate to the tokenized Ether network as well?

First, thanks for interest and support of Guncoin.  Second, while yes, we could really use more donations to do things faster, charging for advertising is not something we choose to do at this time - even that we pay for advertising on partner sites for now.  We want to encourage our merchants to accept GUN and list them in our directory - when we have pages of merchants, at that time, we may offer premium banner space on the website - but we are not there yet.  That being said, promotion/advertising of GUN should be a community thing.  In other words, I do not see BTC/LTC/ETH owners spending their money on advertising.  We are for now in certain places that make sense.  But Guncoin is designed to be a decentralized cryptocurrency - that means with community support it will succeed.  One can check the donations address below and see we get very few - primarily from two members and no others. More is always appreciated and as you have seen - well spent.  Enough said on that.

In regards to your other comments on what lies ahead for GUN, I would say that all that you mentioned is on the table and being considered for various GUN alternatives.  I will point out that first and foremost, Guncoin was originally designed to be a virtual currency for every day firearms transactions - that has not and will not change.  That is the direction it is headed right now.  It will be a technologically stable, secure and safe means to transact any and forearms related transaction - it is right now.  After the next upgrade, it will be a state of the art coin with enormous capabilities exceeding many other coins.  We intend to finish what we started and committed to before doing anything else and we are almost there.

So there are many wonderful ideas out there for all sorts of things that Guncoin could or should do comparable to many other coins with great features (Smart contracts, POS, Masternodes, etc, etc).  Those are all great ideas, but you simply cannot do all of that in one coin.  That brings us to your references to GUN-Gold, GUN-Silver, etc. etc.  Yes, there are long term plans to address other technology features possibly in other tokens/coins, under the Guncoin family.  That plan has NOT been formalized or published and I have no set date to do that.  Right now, we are still reviewing technologies, options, budgets and as always trying to figure out how to pay for it all - again donations help us do all that we have done to this point and have planned in the future.  I do NOT want to hype or pump the coin - just trying to honestly answer your questions.  As always, we appreciate input from the community......

That was a great set of questions and we hope our answers gave you close to what you wanted to hear.  Guncoin has a great and prosperous future we think.  Thank you so much for your support!

We are pleased to announce our next partnership with a very well known US-based prepper group called "Outlive the Outbreak" - http://www.OutlivetheOutbreak.com.  Outlive The Outbreak is a large website, with significant monthly traffic, that covers different survival and prepping tips and tricks, firearms, politics and homesteading. They also have a popular “Gear Review” section where they work with different companies to test and evaluate a wide variety of products.  They are very excited about the Guncoin Project as well.

Outlive The Outbreak is dedicated to making sure you are well prepared for unpredictable events such as natural disasters (Wild Fires, Hurricanes, Tornados, etc.) or an economic or societal collapse. When the worst event imaginable happens, they want you to be as prepared as possible to survive the event and period that follows.

Benjamin Franklin once said, “By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail” - those are wise words and we look forward to working with them.

Cool stuff indeed. Does this mean that Guncoin will be advertised on that site in the future?

Yes, they have some odd size banner requirements and we have none that fit - so need to design new ones which are in work.  They will also be promoting us and writing an article about us within a few days as well.

With our recent run up in price, web wallet popularity and growing partnerships, comes great visibility for Guncoin.  However, it also brings out the scammers, spammers and impersonators. We have seen multiple fake Twitter accounts for Guncoin popup in the past few days and grab one of our tweets and then retweet it - trying to get attention and followers with all sorts of free offers. This fraudulent attempt has been repeatedly reported to twitter and those accounts blocked for now until more show up.

Please remember, that any major Guncoin news or announcements is always placed in multiple places so you know it is real.  Check the News page on our website, our telegram Channel or here for confirmation. You can always email us from our website.  Again, thanks so much for your ongoing patience and support.

NOTE to ALL mining pools......When you consistently bump your advertising post (that takes a lot of space) to the top of the thread, not only will I remove you from the pool list on the OP and main website, but I will remind everyone that the Official Guncoin Mining Pool is FREE (zero fees) and located at http://www.guncoinpool.com and post it immediately after your post EVERY TIME! In other words, I consider it spamming and will take appropriate action.

All that being said, we greatly appreciate all the pools that have supported GUN for so many years and continue to!

Is the GunCoin Network ASIC Miner friendly?  Thinking about getting a BitMan compatible unit. Hopefully the next wallet version would also become POS.

 Grin

GUN is NOT ASIC friendly by design (that is why we choose Neoscrypt) and will stay that way.  There are no plans to make the current GUN into POS any time soon.

One can always mine whatever they want, with whatever they can, and then buy Guncoin with their proceeds.

I kind of like to place some buys in at Cryptopia and then let the autominers sell into them, feels kind of like they are mining for me, LOL.

We have quite a few autoswitch pools mining GUN on occasions.  I have seen them switch on hundreds of miners at a time.  While it does hurt our existing miners temporarily, it is great publicity for Guncoin.

Paper wallet generator, Guncoin. If this real, very cool.

Yep, very cool.
Paper wallets are a nice way to share Guncoin with others.
I have found that people really enjoy having something tangible in their hand while discussing this.
One of my favorite hobbies.
So much in fact, that I do have in the works a stand alone paper wallet generator coming for GUN.
Not giving any timelines, but it will happen.

If you are using that one, here are some hints.
This was copied from the text of an email sent to another GUN supporter.

In regard to the paper wallets, this may get a little long, but here goes:
There are a few ways to make paper wallets.
The easiest way at this time is to go to walletgenerator.net, find Guncoin, and just print some.
The best way though if you choose that way is to go the the website, then their github (I think, it's been a while and there may be a link) to download a copy of the site.
You would then do the usual unzip the folder, save it somewhere, etc...
Go offline when you do this next part..find and open the "index.html" file and now the website will function on your browser without being online.
You can generate from the site, while online, but the way described above may be safer, and a good practice in security.
It is a multi wallet generator where by default it will start with Bitcoin, but there are most others there too.
I have gone into the subfolders of that downloaded generator and replaced the stock guncoin.png images under "wallets" and "logos" with my own for a better background and current logo.
I will see if those can attach to this email if you want to give it a go.
Also, I went into the "index.html" file by opening it in notepad and changed the "blockchain.info" to "chainz.cryptoid.info/gun/" so the wallet prints info pertinent to Guncoin.
There is a find option that makes that part easy once the file is opened, and of course save the change afterward.
I always copy the receiving address into a notepad file so sending  GUN to them is a cut and paste thing.
One can also generate bulk address using that tab, copy/paste and do about anything with those.
That is my cold storage method, or print out on sticky paper, cut out, and add to whatever...birthday cards, pictures or wherever one may share an address, or copy paste into documents as I have of the Bill of Rights to give away.

I will see if I can attach a link to the images referenced to in the above.

(make sure to rename them both "guncoin.png" when replacing)

Really solid update from the developer. Nice to see so many of these accomplishments knocked out. I'm impressed as an investor.

Excellent - thanks for the nice feedback - much appreciated!
