I like this project, hope it will be successful   

I used the "Escrow" option when I listed my items.  Technically, all escrow does is guarantee that both parties receive what is promised to them.  The blockchain confirms the transfer of funds, and GunBroker confirms the receipt of the item.  If a seller does not send the item after being paid, they are held responsible to make it right.  Their account is frozen until they do.  New members may not become sellers until they have completed a set number of purchases with an A+ feedback.  I think the number is 10 buys.

OK, well we have another trusted hero member that can do escrows with a lengthy track record.  But more options are always welcome.  I am a bit confused about your "coin launch" description. 

First of all, I really like your ID/Handle - you will go far with that in the forum with that attitude.  We sincerely appreciate your efforts.  This is an ideal example how the community can support our coin at virtually no expense out of their pocket and get us a lot of visibility at the same time.  I would also suggest that you join our Telegram channel (link on upper right corner of the website.

At this point, Guncoin is a VERY solid and secure coin and can be used for sales like this anytime and yes - TODAY, not tomorrow.  We will be getting started on mobile and web wallets soon that will make it even easier.  Please note than any lengthy write-ups or tutorials that you come up with, can be put in a YouTube video or in our users guide, etc. I know of a few others similar things that are in work.  

Bottom line here is that the more community activity we get like this, the faster GUN moves forward and becomes more visible.  Once again, thanks for your patience and support.

I like guns. I'll offer escrow if anyone wants. The usual stuff: coins released to dev 48 hours after coin launches and investors get their guncoins. Does that make sense and you seemed to have gotten a bunch of people interested who know literally nothing about crypto currencies which is always a good thing. This will be interesting to follow, good luck.

Hi everyone, I am the person who listed the items on GunBroker for GunCoin.  One of my winning bidders alerted me to this forum.  I think this winning bidder must be a member here as well. 

I just wanted to thank you all for your support, and for the work you all are doing keeping this crypto alive.  I believe that in years to come there will be a high demand for this option;  providing that anonymity from prying financial organizations remains in place.

I have a fun story for you all 

I am having some technical difficulty with one of my other bidders.  A bidder by the name of 'mtbird' (so you can block him from bidding on your stuff) won several items and is now refusing to pay with crypto.  He/she knew very well what the ad said, but he/she is trying to convince GunBroker to force me to accept USD.  I have great news, GunBroker is siding with me! 

This is the first message the buyer sent me after he/she won my items:
"Checked with Gunbroker and only US backed money, securities and money orders is legal tender. Where do I send the US Postal money order?"

I contacted GunBroker Customer Service, and they replied: 
"The buyer has not contacted us and we would have told them you could accept any payment method you wish as long as you stated it in the listing."


I am in communication with GunBroker now to suggest a preventative measure.  I asked them if they would add "Cryptocurrency" to their official payment options.  As it stands, they offer Money order, Personal check, Credit/Debit card, PayPal, Escrow, etc.  I would like to see an option that says "GunCoin".

I also wanted to point out that GunBroker sells a LOT more than just firearms.  You can list knives, camping equipment, collectible militaria, MREs, and almost anything remotely related to hunting, fishing, or the outdoors.  You guys are supporting me, I will support you.  Feel free to use my listings as a model, you may copy my wording, edit, and borrow my GunCoin picture.  I will be happy to post a tutorial on here about how to set up a GunBroker account, and how to avoid some of the newbee mistakes that a lot of folks make.  I am not doing all this for money, I'm just trying to promote GUN through the use of GUN.

We have a little more than 500 blocks more to go before the hard fork at block 850,000.  If you are still running on GUN V1.2 or V1.3, please upgrade to GUN V1.4 as soon as you can.  We should fork in about 26 hours I think at our current rate.....

Ask anyone who is an investor in guncoin if they are unhappy with their investment.  I think you may find one guy, and gun is coming up on 4 years old.

Perhaps some flyers about GunCoin, with crypto specific information on the front and some of those quotes on the back, would be a good thing to hand out at gun shows, events, and even right at gun stores that are willing to participate?

As far as the pools go, there are several now, that is good!  Also, as mentioned above, we are not affiliated with any of them.

Everyone wants a big pool, and the biggest is the Blocks Factory.  At least the biggest public pool, they are typically between 20 to 50% of the total hash on guncoin.

There are also smaller pools, and I see them getting blocks now.  

But there is other hash on Guncoin, that it is private farms or autoswitch pools that immediately dump coins on the market to payout in BTC.  That had to be expected, as soon as Guncoin rose to be one of the more profitable neoscrypt coins.

Moral of the story, unless you have more than 2 mh/s (currently 2 mh/s is about 1% total hash, that should net you 4 to 7 blocks a day depending on the day) solo mining is going to be a frustratingly slow proposition.  Best bet is to jump in a pool suited to your wants.  If you want frequent payouts, join a larger pool and get more payouts of less coin each time.  If that's not as important, join a smaller pool, and get less payouts of a larger amount.  In the end, you get paid out on your share of work put into winning the block, so it should work out nearly the same in the long run.

One side effect of the autoswitch pools that dump on the market, is that the market price is never static.  Anytime that there is noone currently doing a buy, then the coin's price is dropping because of coin getting constantly sold on the market at the highest listed buy.  That's not all bad, as because of that constantly dropping price, there's deals to be had.
