Lol, maybe I shouldn't have used the Buy-it-Now option.  Looks like people are losing sleep over it.  I would take it off if I could, but once a bid has been placed, the auction terms cannot be changed.

A little bit of angst is fine, since it will make it all the more enjoyable if I get the Guncoin Glock in my hands.

I have a fallback plan though in case that does not happen:
1. Put aside the same amount of Guncoin as it would have cost to purchase.
2. Wait for Guncoin to go mainstream and it becomes more common for gun shops to use.
3. Buy four or five new Glocks of assorted calibers to take away the pain Smiley

I've had the same thought..  I would happily do the buy it now to get my hands on it, but don't want the add to go away.

Also, a million Guncoin is quite a milestone.  Once you pass it, enjoy it!

Yes, if you have traded  or inherited any older firearms, converting them to GUNCOIN is the fastest way to build up a pretty full wallet.  FYI, have had 3-4 retweets of the Glock ad on Twitter so far this morning....

Awesome!  Get all the publicity you can get.  I don't use twitter, so after the auction ends, let me know how many re-tweets it received.  I'm curious

What do you all think about me listing a deer rifle after the Glock auction is over?  I have quite a few inexpensive firearms that I've accumulated thru trades and such that have no real collector value to me.

If I list things at a low enough starting price, it might tempt other newbies like me to jump in and download that wallet.  At a rate of one firearm every two weeks, I would be able to keep this going for a few months.

Thoughts?

P.S. I would be happy to buy from you folks as well.  I'm not trying to hoard GUN here...although a 1,000,000 GUN does sound pretty cool Wink

I believe that is a great idea.

BTW, I have to confess that I have been experiencing some tumultuous emotions since that Glock went up for sale....for Guncoin:
Love the ad that GunCoinRocks placed, seeing a Glock for sale, for Guncoin, but at the same time hoping that nobody does the buy now option and then seeing the ad, and it disappear....into someone else's hands other than my own.
LOL, but serious too.

My Guncoins are stored on Cryptopia. Have they done the fork for me?

You can always look at the coin details on Cryptopia to see where they are at/  They indicate that they are running GUN V1.4.

Great. Thank you. Would my coins worthless, if they didn`t upgrade to 1.4?

Have too much coins, it`s hard to follow all their activities.

No, the coins would be fine, they just couldn't be transferred until the wallet was upgraded.

Same as a wallet at home.  If you have an old wallet, the coins are 'stuck' until the wallet is upgraded.  Once it is upgraded and sync'd, they would then transfer like normal.

This goes for pretty much any coin, that hasn't done a coin swap.

OK folks, as promised, the GunCoin Glock is posted for sale on GunBroker.com  https://www.gunbroker.com/item/750976454

I have one issue, I would like to hyperlink to:  guncoin.info/getting-started/   However, GunBroker will not allow links to Http://, they only allow links to Https://  Is there any way around this?  A hyperlink to GunCoin's site would be NICE TO HAVE in the listing.

The next big milestone for GUN is when Segwit is enabled once we reach the 75% point.  You can track our progress which passed 25% yesterday at:

     https://guncoin.bushstar.co.uk/

For those unfamiliar with Segwit or why it is important to us, here is an interesting articles about Litecoin as they approached that milestone last year:

And for a more generic desicription as it relates to Bitcoin:

First question, how did I hear about guncoin?

I wasn't even involved in cryptos until this past October.   I got a bonus from work, so I bought some bitcoin from Coinbase.  By the time I received my BTC, it had already gone up by 10%.  This made me interested.  I watched a few YouTube videos and found that some people were basically 'day trading' on Cryptopia.

So, I opened a Cryptopia account.   I started watching all the alt coins looking for patterns, checking the action against known investment math, and watching to see which ones followed BTC, and which ones do not.  During this research period, GunCoin peaked at 3+ cents.  That sudden rise placed GunCoin in the top spot in Cryptopia's list of high gains for the day.  That is how I became aware of GunCoin.

After researching GunCoin though, I realized that it is actually useful.  This makes a long term hold a viable option.  Most alt coins scare the crap out of me.  90% of the alt coins look like a get rich quick, pump and dump scam.  I will day trade with those, but never keep or use them.

Second question, what do I plan to do with my GUN ?

I am an avid collector of firearms, and I love to shoot.  For now, I am also collecting GunCoin, but when it finally reaches a good percentage of market saturation, I am going to use it to fill in some gaps in my collection and buy a few NFA toys that are currently out of my price range Smiley

I have a question for the forum.  What caused the price to spike a couple months ago?

Wonderful story and thanks for sharing.  In regards to our price runup, it was primarily due to a few very sizeable external groups becoming aware of Guncoin literally within hours of each other.  Since Guncoin is only available in one place, they could not buy it fast enough.  While yes, it was an artificial runup, the expanded community pushed the new price plateau from the 20s to the 60s.

With each new release, the quality and reliability of the coin improves.  With each new rev we get a few more users who recognize this and are happy to jump on board.  We are not looking for short term profits.  Our goal has always been to provide a viable payment option to firearms merchants - Gunbroker transactions are a perfect example. Again, thanks for your story and keep the great work - something that most on this board can do.

OK, for those wanting to buy firearms products using Guncoin - here is your chance - https://www.gunbroker.com/item/739790572.

Gunbroker.com is starting to allow ads that accept crypto currency.  TMK, this is the first Gunbroker listing for GUN.  We wish him luck with the sale!

Hi everyone, I am the person who listed the items on GunBroker for GunCoin.  One of my winning bidders alerted me to this forum.  I think this winning bidder must be a member here as well.

Holy shit, how did you hear about guncoin then?  This is a story I need to know.

Also, Thanks for selling a Glock with Guncoin.  I mentioned that is something we need for awareness earlier in this thread, right after the post about the first sale.  Props for the first sale, and first Glock sale with guncoin!

Last question..  What are you planning on doing with your Guncoin?  lol

Hi everyone, I am the person who listed the items on GunBroker for GunCoin.  One of my winning bidders alerted me to this forum.  I think this winning bidder must be a member here as well.

I just wanted to thank you all for your support, and for the work you all are doing keeping this crypto alive.  I believe that in years to come there will be a high demand for this option;  providing that anonymity from prying financial organizations remains in place.

I have a fun story for you all  Cool

I am having some technical difficulty with one of my other bidders.  A bidder by the name of 'mtbird' (so you can block him from bidding on your stuff) won several items and is now refusing to pay with crypto.  He/she knew very well what the ad said, but he/she is trying to convince GunBroker to force me to accept USD.  I have great news, GunBroker is siding with me!

This is the first message the buyer sent me after he/she won my items:
"Checked with Gunbroker and only US backed money, securities and money orders is legal tender. Where do I send the US Postal money order?"

I contacted GunBroker Customer Service, and they replied:
"The buyer has not contacted us and we would have told them you could accept any payment method you wish as long as you stated it in the listing."

I am in communication with GunBroker now to suggest a preventative measure.  I asked them if they would add "Cryptocurrency" to their official payment options.  As it stands, they offer Money order, Personal check, Credit/Debit card, PayPal, Escrow, etc.  I would like to see an option that says "GunCoin".

I also wanted to point out that GunBroker sells a LOT more than just firearms.  You can list knives, camping equipment, collectible militaria, MREs, and almost anything remotely related to hunting, fishing, or the outdoors.  You guys are supporting me, I will support you.  Feel free to use my listings as a model, you may copy my wording, edit, and borrow my GunCoin picture.  I will be happy to post a tutorial on here about how to set up a GunBroker account, and how to avoid some of the newbee mistakes that a lot of folks make.  I am not doing all this for money, I'm just trying to promote GUN through the use of GUN.

To find my auctions, just search "GunCoin"

FYI, I am listing a Gen4 Glock model 23, .40 caliber handgun on GunBroker this weekend. This may be the first documented sale and FFL transfer on the blockchain.  Tell your friends Smiley

Looks like I have just found a great reason to try to add another caliber to my collection Smiley
