I entered the IPO because it seemed to me as a very positive idea with a future.
I also knew there was another water coin launching the same week as this one.
I guessed one of them was a scam, and I chose to go with H2O.

Meanwhile, I see the other coin 3rd in the voting list in mintpal, and much more alive.
It makes me think.... maybe I was wrong?

The time is now to join the h2o coin train! The Block Reward is still at 2000.00 H2O for couple more days (if not mistaken).
Dev team, please confirm if the   block reward will be reduced to 1600.00 H2O at block 43000 (currently at 40038).

That's correct Smiley

That information can be found in the github code.

Just some ideas...
I don't know if it's feasible but it could be interesting to create some kind of donation fee to thewaterproject or other water charities for every trade. It would reinforce the charity aspect of the coin.
And if the coin was to be changed into a POS coin, it could be nice if a part of the minted coins could go to charities (specific NGO turning every week or every month). It would be a cool feature  Grin

Anyway, creating interest is necessary. I talked about the coins to every person I know who are interested in cryptos. I'm doing my part !  Wink

Any news about the H2O/USD exchange?
Also, running a wide twitter campaign is a great idea.

Honestly the only way this will take off is if you get the twitter community behind it.

all effort should be going into creating hype on twitter - getting "big players" to tweet about it - maybe give them all some to hold so they have a personal interest in H2O's success.

Twitter gets very excited about coins, and if you sell and market it correctly to them (and have enough people doing it) it can create a lot of hype and everyone will buy / throw hash into it because they know things that get popular on twitter normally get very high valued very fast - i.e mazacoin, aurora coin. etc.

just to let u guys know u guys are added to an exchange https://www.allcrypt.com/market.php?id=389
Awesome, thank you Smiley Adding it in our OP.

Also..

I'm going to send an e-mail to www.thewaterproject.org, to ask them if they would be able to accept H2O ( besides BTC ) as a donation payment.

Wish me good luck Smiley

Yes, but what will create intrest in people?
Many people suggested me to change algo to X11. I'm checking what I can do.

We lack of miners.

I'm personally not convinced with X11 but if that what it takes to get more attention and go for it.
While it's good that you are working on how to attract miners, also need to work on how to attract buyers/holders.  The donation and media exposure is a great starting point but there should be continuous progress...even if it's slow since this H2O is long term.

That's why I don't want to hurry things up. X11 is a new algo, if I'm not wrong. It's out there for like, near 2 months?

As I've mentioned earlier, community should be helping as well. Can't do much alone ( I can do, but I have a life as well Sad )
the community will help you, but first you should have your plan to do something.
good luck!

I don't know when X11 started.  Its main benefit compared to scryptN is that gpus runs cooler and less power consumption but that only means x11 miner is not fully optimized.  My electricity cost here in US is low enough so that it is still more profitable to mine scryptn coins compared to x11.  Maybe in other areas where electricity cost is > 20c,  scryptn is no longer profitable so it makes sense to switch to x11.

@TWC   Thank you for the updates with looking into a possible X11 algo change and the USD/H2O exchange.  POS may be something to also consider as mentioned earlier as does this does seem to be quite popular now.

About algorithm change, I'd give it another week, or two. ( Done some research, it seems that H2O could use X11 in the future )

About exchange, I'm in constant communication with the exchange. ( Can't talk more about it )

PoS is not a good idea, yet. Since, there will be 2 billion coins in total. There have been mined 123,826,050 H2O ( Data from coinmarketcap )
( I fully support PoS tho, it's a good thing! )
What's the situation with the H2O/USD Exchange?
It's under development. That's all I know right now.

I have no ETA for that. Wont say anything if there's nothing to be said regarding the exchange Sad

Don't wanna give false information

I hope that they will finish it asap! Smiley

H20/USD   would be a hige step forward to H20 coin!
Yes, that would/will be amazing Smiley

Hashrate is going up after hitting a low on the 21st. Same with the price which is raising since the 21st Smiley The scrypt multipool madness is fading a little so other coins could get some shine back hopefully.
@ThisWeeksCoin, what are the next moves ? We definitely need more news to create (at least a little) momentum and create interest Smiley
The biggest "problem" I saw, is that there are few new "PoS" coins, which are 100x more profitable than H2O at this moment. That's why we saw that hashrate drop.

News? Well,

I'll try to reach as many merchants I can. But can't do everything alone. ( Yes, I'm doing everything alone )
I'm going to need our community's support. We should contact as many people we can, who could be interested into H2O.
There are bounties for shops who'll accept H2O as a payment method.

I've been researching and looking into various altcoins like Dogecoin and Litecoin, but H2O Coin seems to hold the most promise Smiley Giving power to the masses over mass-produced ASIC centers is an amazing feature for the coin. Loving it so far Smiley
People don't realize what you did. Because they don't know that out there, are a lot of people who're able to buy powerful ASIC machines. I'm mining H2O and buying.

The specs H2O has, are more like of a long term coin. I didn't "make" a pump and dump scheme coin. I was focused more on the long term.

I'll be at home all day.

If you guys have any questions, suggestions, don't hesitate to post Smiley
