I just downloaded the latest version of the wallet, it sees my wallet data but won't sync- it's showing 0 active connections to the network no matter how long I wait. Any idea what the cause might be?

I don't know the exact btc fees but 10$ is a very small budget. You first have to check in which exchange you want to buy the BTC. There will be a fee for buying BTC and perhaps a fee for credit card or something else. When you then transfer the btc to coinexchange you have to pay a fee for transfer. On coinexchange you have to pay a fee for buying. When you transfer the coins to the wallet you also have to pay a fee. So it could be little bit frustrating when you start with 10$ and only get a few coins in your wallet.

So perhaps it would be better to start with for example 50$ if you can. Cool

You got my point, that's what I'm talking about, 10$ was just an example.
Thank you so much!
nice to see what your said, i am also hope that will come true.

LOL, hehehe

Actually I meant to buy HOdl with BTC, because I don't know how much I'll pay of fee for that small transaction, so if I pay 9 dollars for example, it won't worth it, right?
I have never used bitcoin yet, but I figured out that it'll be about 3 dollars at max, so I'll take a look on it.

Thank you!

Hey guys!

Is there anyway to buy a little amount of HOdl like 10 dollars, just for playing with, using BTC?

If so, how much of fee I'll pay for it? Will it worth it?

Thanks!

Yes, you can buy it from here: https://www.coinexchange.io/market/HODL/BTC

Worth playing with? - depends on what you want to play with it. football - maybe not, trading - possibly! Cheesy Cheesy

Yes, it is necessary.
What do you mean didn't work?

If I type the phrases in the black cmd-window, it says that it is wrong written or nothing was found.

Make sure the cmd is opened in the same folder where HOdlcoin is installed in.

Ok, thank you. Now I see the funds on my other pc, too.

But I skipped the following steps, because they didn`t worked:

5. Write "cmd" in the address bar, and click enter.
6. In the command window type: hodlcoin-qt -rescan

Is this necessary to do it?

I have a backup from hodl-wallet and the passphrase. I want the hodl-wallet on another computer. How can I import the backup-wallet there? Is it via "URI"?

1. What do you mean by "slow"?
2. What's wrong with Discord? anything specifically?
3. Go to send, and make a new address, and then copy & paste the address on the deposit tab, put in the amount of time and hodl you want to lock, and click HODL.

That is, I specify my address, indicate the amount, let's say 1000 coins and the period?
And after this period I get the interest and the coins back?
Or 1000 coins disappear?
3. Go to receive, make new address. Deposit to that address for x amount of time/blocks. And you will get your deposited coins+interest upon maturation :-)

And where can I get another address if there are coins on one purse?

Wallet --> Receive --> Request payment

and that would create another address
