I played a bit with the wallet miner.
I could make the miner threads interrupt when a new block is received so they don't waste time on the old hash.
I also made the nonce incremental instead of random and other small enhancements.
I'm testing it and will eventually make a pull request in the next days.

Thread interruption would be an improvement - but take note, I'm expecting the wallet miner to be superceeded quite soon by improved cpu miners - so it might not be worth the candle.

I made the nonce random to avoid the possibility of a user calculating the same hashes on different machines mining to the same address.

I've been looking at the source a bit myself as a learning experience ... a thought on the multiple miners ....
Wouldn't it be better to set the ExtraNonce value to a random amount instead of the hash nonce?  I thought that was one of the reasons the ExtraNonce value exists.  That way each miner would have a full nonce field to work with.

Welcome. Yes we've had a fair launch. We've been looking at the metrics since the start of the month and everything looks in order - I'm happy to recommend the coin for inclusion on your exchange. Thanks for reaching out.

Bug report: Wallet.

Mined HOdl don't show up in the Pending balance.

of course not, they show up as "Immature"

Just checked that theory, it doesn't seem to be the case.

Four Linux servers are sending newly mined coin to one address on my laptop. When they arrive they are flagged as mined coins, but neither Pending Balance nor Immature Balance is altered.

Until cleared to be spent I "believe" they should be in Pending Balance since they're not HOdl'ed yet.

First off it's not a theory.. This is how Crypto works.. Generated coins must mature, in HOdlcoin it's 21 blocks before they can be spent. When you generate a block, it gets propagated across the network to be added to the blockchain. The blockchian works on a consensus to which chain is the most excepted. This stops double spending and many other things.. Something you may see is an Orphan block where another block is propagated across the network faster then yours and yours will be invalidated.  Hodled (term deposits) and mined blocks will be "Immature", transactions will be in your "Pending" Balance.

However if your seeing an inconsistency that we are not.. please give more info.. you may want to PM one of us.. bc your screen shots will have the amount your Hodling..

However you have pointed out something we have  discussed before..  Separating hodled immature and mined immature balances so you can see things more clear.. We figured this may get confusing to some.. https://github.com/HOdlcoin/HOdlcoin/issues/28

So nobody asks this question again and again:

THERE IS NO GPU MINER SOFTWARE. THERE IS NO POOL MINER SOFTWARE. CANNOT USE ASIC, ONLY CPU.

EXCHANGES HAVE BEEN APPROACHED, BUT THEY ARE SLOW TO MAKE A DECISION.

If anything changes, it will be announced HERE first and the Original Post will be updated. OK?
