What were/are the IPO funds to be used for?  I haven't seen anything that explains that.

- https://heavycoin.github.io/ipo-stakeholders.html
- 20 secs of research, probably less than You had spend on Your post..

I've already read those.  My question (again) is HOW ARE THE IPO FUNDS TO BE USED?  To repeat, what are the BTC raised by the IPO to be used for / spent on.

IPO funds are used to pay developers for their time so they dont have to get a job and can focus on developing HVC and the community. Yeah there is no way to monitor what they are doing with them, but I would rather have the developers getting paid, instead of working a job or doing client work.

The developers are solid, and nobody should work for free unless you have the luxury to do so...

just my 2 satoshis.

HeavyCoin gonna rock the world
http://heavycoin.zhpool.com welcome all GPU and CPU miners
Let's mine our fortune together!

We are running keccak512's official pool modules, that means our pool will get the best support from HeavyCoin community.

You can read the other miners' voting, all estimates detail,  the latest price from exchange and more.
All of this, only at http://heavycoin.zhpool.com

Our pool hashrate is running about 2400M, blocks are being solved all the time.
Mining with us, your profit will increase for our lowest pool reject rate.

Cannot connect to pool1 or pool2 of yours.

[08:52:19] Pool: 0  URL: stratum+tcp://pool2.heavycoin.zhpool.com:20001  User:
xxx.xxx  Password: xxx
[08:52:19] Press any key to exit, or cgminer will try again in 15s.
[08:53:34] No servers were found that could be used to get work from.
[08:53:34] Please check the details from the list below of the servers you have
input

We have not seen any issue with our pool service, pool hashrate is keeping increasing.

How about download the mining software from our pool and run the test batch?

Let us know the result

I'm on it now.

This looks like good news for Heavycoin:

http://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoMarkets/comments/2182di/scrypt_asic_manufacturer_blissdevices_will_use/

From the FAQ:

Can I use Neon to mine other Scrypt-based currencies?
Yes!!  Neon is the only hardware miner in the industry able to mine any Scrypt-based currencies. Our machines use configurable parameters, which among other benefits means that you can also use our machines to mine Scrypt-N coins such as Vertcoin, Emucoin, Execoin, and Pandacoin.

http://blissdevices.com/faq/

So that limits the coins that still can be mined with GPU when these ASICs are out in full force. Smiley

I believe that Heavycoin´s community should try to make more publicity for this coin. So try to talk, tweet, post and write to everyone about Heavycoin.

HeavycoinPool does it again :-)

After paying out 11,900 HVC's in our BLOCK BOUNTY program last week
where we paid 150 HVC's more than HVC blocks were giving out

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
WE ARE NOW AT 0% FEE FOR LIFE, FOR EVERYONE
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Wonder why you should mine with us?
We don't mean to gloat, but here are some real facts:

(1)
We spent over 3 weeks with Heavycoin devs fine tuning the HVC official Stratum Mining fork
as well as the MPOS fork so that other pools (like ZHPool and the like) can actually exist
(supporting open-source, unlike some pools out there)

(2)
We have the most active and helpful IRC community on line and moderate the #Heavycoin and #HeavycoinPool rooms on Freenode

(3)
We BELIEVE in this coin, and are 100% committed to it's success.

Remember that node01.heavycoin.cc in all of your heavycoin.conf files?
Yep - we run that seed node Smiley

(3)
Cryptoaltex.com? Their exchange's wallet was up and running almost at the same time as the HVC network thanks to us providing the good people at that exchange with the peers.dat file. Also - we lobbied w/ Keccak512 for them as the first HVC exchange, which is a fact, so that they could get their well deserved bounty.

(5)
Oh, that awesome CCMiner (CudaMiner by Chris84 & cbuchner1) - we helped test that before it's release.

(6)
We have dual stratum servers (Columbus, OH and New York, NY)
CMH is on 10Gbit connectivity w/ DDoS protection
NY is on 1Gbit @ Digital Ocean (intended as fail-over / backup, but you can use it as primary too)

(7)
We have given away a total of over 15,000 HVC's in bounties and as gifts,
and have made just 1,200 HVC's total on our pool from fees to this point.

And now we implement 0% fees! HA! Grin

Finally

~~ Running a pool does actually cost a decent amount of Fiat currency ~~
~~ We welcome donations, but we DO NOT impose them. You can always set them to 0% if you really wish ~~

THANK YOU!

P.S.
Oh - some prominent community members out there, accused us of incompetence, from all things. Also, they are jealous of our PR skills, which they at least agree we posses. Their name starts with 1 and ends with H, and it turns out the G in the middle does not really stand for Gentlemanly conduct Sad

Truth is:

Optimizing MPOS web is a bit of a pain, and not really our forte, but our stratum has been running 100% of the time and 100% of all payments have always been made to our miners.

We are working on making our MPOS web run even smoother, but really, there's no need to call us out on anything but facts.

HEAVYCOIN 2 DA MOOOOON!

Any idea or thoughts?

Maybe the .bat instructions should be distributed with "-v ENTER VOTE HERE" so that miners don't just copy-paste whatever they find.

I mean we see it for other values like "-u HVC ADDRESS HERE"...   why not for -v?     Wink

I agree. Simpler the better for users. Forces them to choose, whether they choose higher or lower they still much choose. Kind of an integral part of the coin.

So a geek can make a script to vote via millions of addresses and get the crypto to whatever direction he wants.

uhhh, you have to be mining to vote.

That's also a part why I CPU mine even though it's not so profitable. To make my 25K HVC more valuable by voting for a block reward of 1 HVC.  Wink

You have to find a block so that your vote actually counts. So...   Cry

Um I mine via pool, so the pool collects all votes.

But still block solver's vote counts though mining with a pool...

Sorry.. but from all this writings.. I cannot find THE LINK of your pool !??

It's on the first page of this thread among the list of all available pools. It is http://Heavycoinpool.com and I strongly recommend it, mining since beginning on it without any issues, payouts are regular.

Mining Pool Hub
As I am running a heavycoin pool, I found that really every people submitting shares with default 512 for vote.
They seems like they don't care vote and just run the default value.

I found that block reward changed few days ago,
but actually it seems like it will be 512 at some point and don't change since 512 is the default value for mining.

Any idea or thoughts?

If im not mistaken pools still list who found the block and that user's vote still gets counted.
