What does the -v 1024 do in CPUMiner? I can't find any info and the minerd_help shows only the last page of commands. I haven't got an idea how to scroll it up. Whenever I press a button the window closes.
do you read the whole op?
read the part about voting please

And how much is it "worth"?

You realize this depends on supply and demand, and the perceived value of the coin, yes? Right now it's being traded around 4000 satoshis and that's above the price derived from the IPO, which may be the closest thing you have to an "actual value" three days after the coin has been launched.

in defi we trust
And this coin is GPU'ed, about 5x faster than a high end CPU, latest word from ypool dev.

This is funny , how the hell is a coin faster just because it's GPU?

do u guys mine at 1GH or heavycoinpool?
If the Heavycoin community is smart enough...  it will split the hashing power between pools...  don't let this be the next Maxcoin folks!    Kiss

hard to do that when the damn windows binaries arent available so the other pools are only open to linux users.

Yes...  but I am afraid many people won't bother to switch even when the binaries are out...    Undecided

I will definetely join heavypool when they are out of beta, simly because micromanaging workers is so much easier.

would be nice if we could get more updates from the devs regarding windows binaries for the pools, marketing, generally what's happening etc. I mean they are who the community is looking to predominantly.

how many votes i need to set in miner then i mine solo with 4 cpus - i7-2600k ? 1024 or lower?
thanks

You can pick between 1 and 1024. Default is 512. You don't have to set a specific number, it's your vote. You're giving your call about what you'd like to be the block content in HVC number for the next time the supply changes (that is every five days) that will become the average vote of every miner who found a block.

A higher number means more coins mined per block, a higher supply, which tends to decrease the value of the coin unless the demand raises proportionally. A lower number means less coins mined per block.

I personally want this to be a long term run so I've set it to 1.
