I was just looking at adding HyperPoker to my crypto poker comparison page ( http://cryptorials.io/bitcoin-poker-comparison/ ) but it seems like a bit of a ghost site.

Is anybody using it?

There should be something like a weekly tournament so if you log in and there's nobody around you at least know that if you come back at a certain time you will get a game.

As you already found out, http://hyperpoker.org/ its more or less a ghost site, i come by from time to time, but i find myself alone there, hoping to see anyone, but no luck...dont know, maybe some promotion and some daily freerolls would help.

But interesting is there are already 103 members registered there...that is something we can work on, right?!

I wish I knew for sure. But I've chosen not to upgrade to Windows 10 due to its harsh security issues.

But this page talks about Windows 10 compatibility. If you have problems, you can try to run it under compatibly settings.

Edit: Also remember to back up your wallet.dat file before upgrading. It is probably best to have a backup on a flashdrive in addition to your computer whenever possible too.

Sorry for the late response, got busy. I have watched the block count and it hasn't moved. I tried disabling my firewall all together to no avail. I think I may have unlocked the wallet before it finished syncing and it staked right away. The wallet stopped getting new blocks right after it staked, my coins are actually still showing as staking.

Don't worry your coins are fine in your wallet.dat (you could in theory install the HYPER wallet on another machine, and copy your wallet.dat over from your %appdata% -> Hyper folder and your coins will be there!).

Did you recently upgrade from an older version of the HYPER wallet to the newest version? Please let me know asap.

Is hypercrypto.com down for everyone else?
Not for me.

That is weird. I wonder if my isp is blocking it. hmmm. I will have to go down the street to see if a hotspot works.

Progress update on my 7 days to die server
Added free for all game mode - Type /joinffa in game and it teleports you to waiting room until it starts. First player that gets x amount of kills win. (Still need to test with multiple people)
Added HYPER support for buying in-game cash. Uses an algorithm to determine how much each HYPER is worth. At time of writing this 1 HYPER is 739.9 in game cash.
Added error handling to stop server from crashing on most errors(I may have missed some lol)

Fixes:
Fixed MOST of bugs that would cause server to crash.

Need to do:(Only off top of head. Will update when I think of more)
Stop zombies from spawning in waiting room and fighting arena for free-for-all.
Add GP and C2 support.

Just checked, it hasnt blocked it.

The blockchain may have gotten damaged. (usually happens if the computer power goes out before you've closed the wallet completely)

To make sure that the wallet isn't getting any new blocks (and not just being slow), you can go to Help -> Debug Window and watch the current number of blocks and see if it changes at all. If it doesn't change, then it's not working.

So you can get rid of the blockchain (and you'll have to download it again, so that's why I tried to get it fixed before this point).

To do this, close the wallet, and go to C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\HYPER and copy your wallet.dat file somewhere else, like your desktop or flash drive. Then, delete everything in the folder, except the wallet.dat file.

Then, download the new bootstrap (which should make your client run faster if you weren't using it before). Unzip the file after it's downloaded, and place it in the C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\HYPER folder. Then run the wallet again. It will probably take a long time to load the bootstrap (the splash screen may be up, but not the wallet), so be prepared for that, but then it should run smoothly and sync from there.

Usually he would get an error message about the blockchain if the blockchain was corrupted / damaged. This also usually only happens if someone has recently upgraded to a newer wallet version that requires a newer version of the blockchain.

sacskate did you recently upgrade to the newer wallet version from an older version? Then this is your issue and you will need to download the blockchain again.

Otherwise, there is definitely an application like a firewall or something on your PC stopping the connection.

Have you tried leaving the wallet on over night? Maybe it is just slow to start downloading the blockchain. I would also try this. Sometimes it can take 5-10 minutes to start syncing after it has been opened.

Close your wallet, open it again, and then leave it on for at least a few hours and it should start syncing.

sacskate said the firewall wasn't blocking it when I asked about it. I also mentioned checking that the synching wasn't just slow by watching the current blocks (and paying attention to if it changes). What else besides a firewall would block the wallet from getting new blocks?

Your advice was good, hopefully in the debug window he saw that he was in fact getting new blocks (which is what I suspect).

Syncing with Bootstrap atm.

Wallet folder is 1.46GB now.
How big is a full synced Folder ?

Why you dont uploading the Chain on Mega or something?

This is always a Pain in the arse.

On Ubuntu, my Hyper folder is 7.6 GB which includes the database folder, bootstrap blk001.dat (792 MB), blkindex.dat (1.1 GB), and a bootstrap.dat.old (633 MB) file.
