EDIT: The staking graph in the HYPER wallet is down the bottom right of the client so it is probably best to have the game logo in the middle or to the left-middle of the image.

I think the plan is to have the web wallet at http://hypergg.com staking so people can earn their 5% monthly interest without having to run the HYPER client on their computer But Meowball will be able to confirm.

The new HYPER Mac wallet is out!

Instructions for existing users to upgrade to the new HYPER Mac wallet from the old HYPER Mac wallet:

The new HYPER Mac wallet uses a new version of the HYPER blockchain for faster syncing. So you will need to download the blockchain again. This only takes 4-6 hours with the new wallet and blockchain. We are working on a bootstrap for the new Mac client ASAP.

1.) Navigate to ~/Library/Application Support/Hyper on your Mac. COPY YOUR WALLET.DAT AND MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR WALLET.DAT IN A SECURE LOCATION BEFORE PROCEEDING SUCH AS ON AN EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE OR IN A FOLDER ON YOUR DESKTOP

2.) DELETE EVERYTHING EXCEPT YOUR WALLET.DAT (DO NOT DELETE YOUR WALLET.DAT!) IN ~/Library/Application Support/Hyper on your Mac

3.) Download the new HYPER Mac client at: https://mega.co.nz/#!aNFAwJhT!6Oz7yeidRZ4U5MGXlb9lJBumxRZA22B7ZyjzVnfX5Rg

4.) Unpack the New HYPER Mac client to your desktop

5.) Open the new HYPER Mac client. It may take 4-6 hours to download the new blockchain. Your correct HYPER balance will display once the blockchain has fully downloaded. Please be patient.

6.) That's it you are now running the new HYPER Mac wallet client. Has been thoroughly tested but please report any bugs here or on twitter.

@Stunspot: I agree an installer or an easy way for people completely unfamiliar with crypto or being techy in general to use the wallet is essential. It's definitely in our radar. I can take a look at what can be done with this.

@TheEGN: The zombie CS:GO mod is a great idea! Something like that is what I was pushing for. If you have any issues setting up HYPER integration in its current setup, Ignatius would be the person to go to. But if you need help with anything at all or want to just talk about ideas, feel free to get in touch with me! A plugin to allow for easy integration of HYPER is in the works, so that should be extremely helpful.

@jtnichol and @anyone else new to HYPER: Welcome to the HYPER family!

A very user-friendly web wallet will be complete for beta testing in a few days. This will be integrated into HyperGG chat channels that are currently being worked on. All Beta testers can receive hundreds of HYPER (even thousands) by having suggestions or reporting bugs. I will be giving out more info soon!

Technically it starts *trying* after 24h. The actual time it takes is random. The best way to look at it is like this:

You have 100 coins and there are 200 total. Yours were just sent yesterday so you have 1 day of age. The other 100 were stored by someone 3 days ago.

Your stake would be 100/200=50% of the coins, but due to age, you actually hold 100*1/(100*1+100*3)=100/400=25%. So you'd have a 25% chance of staking a block.

As your coins age, they get more weight, and the weight determines how many entries you have for the lottery.

When you finally strike the lottery, it takes coin age into consideration. So let's say a coin gives 30%/month interest. You staked after just 24 hours, you'd get % of the staked amount. If it took a week, you'd get 7%. While it took longer, you got the same amount back as if you had staked after 24h 7x in a row.

Should stake after the same period unless stake times were changed.

A feature I'd like to request, though, is the upgrade to where you can see your current stake weight, network weight, and approx. time to stake a block. It helps create more transparency over just having a client sitting and hoping it's attempting to do something.
