Great to see someone's watching Smiley
We encourage teams to record their video pitches and we try to give it a bit of a 'format' edit - length/topics etc.

It's up to the teams but if I were one I'd definitely submit a pitch video.
It's in their interest if they want to give a better idea on who's behind the project and what it is about, how they came up with the idea, etc.
Also as a registered "fan" of the hackathon a video goes a long way, I'd prefer it to trying to figure out code instead.
I'm also looking forward to see the project's decks, oh maaaan a lot to check out.

I have tried to differentiate this project from project like DAO but the more I look into it, it becomes difficult to separate the two, what actually differentiate this project from DAO-like projects

No, we're not like the DAO

The DAO looked to replicate a VC fund on the blockchain. We're using the blockchain to allow for peer to peer funding and disrupt the whole model. A safer model.

We do not collect ether in order to redistribute the wealth. We're building a platform for 'backers' and promising projects to meet and collaborate.
Individuals are able to support the camps they like rather than relying on the crowd to come to consensus. So unlike the DAO you control your tokens and can decide which projects you’d like to back. Projects can be built regardless of whether they receive funds or not.

Also, so long as the HKG contract spits out HKG when I throw btc/eth at it (and doesn't allow anyone to somehow cheat and get more HKG than they paid for) it's done it's job. The security of the ETH collected is not a direct concern.

Oh man, how many videos a day you guys do?

I guess some are done by the team themselves who submit them?

More to watch for me! Got to find which projects I find more attractive to support with HKG!

So where do I click now to see the over 400 ideas that were submitted before the launch?
Or is that part gone and have to wait for the teams to fill in their profile?

19 teams in less than 4 hours. We're really overwhelmed from the response and would like to wish the best of luck to all of the teams.

You are on a roll, well done!

I'm going to keep an eye on the #find-a-teammember channel on Slack,
seeing how many people would want to join one specific team could help figure which ones are the best and most sought after ideas. Wink

Some great projects going already, it makes a difference to see the people actually behind them.
Should also be fun to see people wanting to join some of the projects and how they get on with that!

Maybe an idea for more videos: people in search for a team, another perspective or why do I wanna be on that team? Cheesy

to get 100 BTC I guess it will not be difficult. This project will be a succes later with a total of 520 000 small token
the name of this coin is very scary. is there a bounty?

Not sure that I understand you, but there was no pre-mine, ie, no bounty.
