Kraken didn't start out as an alt exchange so they're probably thinking its not a "legit," exchange. Ridiculous but there you go. Also the UI is shittier (more difficult) in their eyes than most altcoin exchanges like trex/polo.

Being added to trex would be useless just FYI to the guy who wants a "real," exchange.

That makes no sense... nobody actually considers alt exchanges "more legit" or "more real" compared to fiat/btc exchanges... it's the opposite. Unless by "more legit" you mean "allows me to hide who I am and what I am doing with my money". Which, sure, is exactly what many altcoin traders think. Of course anonymity is a HUGE factor for cryptocurrency traders... That's kind of a big part of why BTC and altcoins caught on in the first place...

You can literally look through this thread and find people stating the reason they don't want to use kraken is because they don't want to give out their info...

But I agree, their UI sucks big time and that + the much fewer number of lesser-known altcoins surely contributes to the lower interest in kraken.

People are ridiculous, dude. They gotta know as well, when their coins are on the exchange, it helps traders a lot in terms of decision making.

Kraken is an exchange that doesn't do business with all 50 states thus its not "real" in the sense of the word for those who can't participate there. A "real" exchange is one where everyone CAN participate, namely Bittrex.

I know many people in affected states that can't open up an account at Kraken to purchase ICN, people who missed on the ICO but now (specially after having a conversation with them in regards of the topic) they value the ICN opportunity, for them they are COMPLETELY out of the ICN market until it gets added to an exchange where they can participate and make that purchase and I am talking about people who have serious money to invest.

To the people who are saying $10. Yes that's completely possible but not anytime soon. Probably after BTC passes the ATH then ICN will hit near $10 or above because of all the media coverage it will get and mainstream getting interested in investing into the crypto markets.

ICN really does solve a huge problem with getting the average joe to invest.
