I hope ICN down some time before 2017 then take stock in kraken
You will PROBABLY get your chance just ONCE before 2017 but I wouldn't place all my bets into getting that chance. We are in the middle of an exiting moment and the price has been rising steady for the past few days in anticipation on what is to come in late December and early 2017. Probably one large whale because of some emergency situation needs cash now might place a huge market sell order bringing the price to around $0.18xx to maybe $0.17xx if that happens this would be your opportunity you can hop in quickly before the price bounces back to $0.20xx and onwards.
If you really REALLY dont want to miss out on ICN at low prices I would buy some now, at $0.20xx before the price further increases, if you decide to buy, lets say 1,000 ICN at $0.2060 that's an investment of $206 which is not bad for 1,000 ICN's and a little close to 5,000 ICN would bring your investment to over $1,000 which again is not bad and if you have, say, $5,000 to invest into ICN at price $0.2040~$0.2080 then you would end up with a little lower of 25,000 ICN (take a few ICN away, I dont feel like using a calculator to come up with exact figures, so its an estimate)
So, in conclusion:
The price you are seeing now, of $0.2050's is dead cheap compared to what I expect to see in a few more weeks specially past January 1, 2017+
So, with all due respect I wish you luck with what ever you decide to do.
//EDIT:
I would like to add to share a little investing strategy here:
Lets say your budget is $5,000 USD to invest in ICN and you have no clue if the ICN price would go a little down before it shoots up even higher. You do not place to place all your bet that the price will do down to lets say $0.17 before you finally invest because you might not get that chance and would end up having to buy in, or should I say PANIC buy in at around $0.25 or whatever the price happens to have increased before you come to the conclusion that you *HAVE* to just get some ICN *NOW* without further delay, so here is a strategy:
You have: $5,000 to invest.
Current price: $0.2050
You invest now: $2500 into ICN at (hopefully) $0.2050 and trailed to $0.2060 buy in price average of $0.2055
and then the price drops to $0.17 and you decide to buy in at this price trailing the price up to $0.1725 which makes your average $2,500 buy in at $0.17125 so you end up with more ICN on that purchasing round and your total $5,000 investment can be said to have occurred at a market price average of 0.18925
So end result: You bought in at: 0.18925 and would have a total of 26,420.07926023778
Now, lets say instead of the price dropping to $0.17 the price rose to 0.23 and you have resolved that you will not be seeing cheaper price ever again or are anxious to finally complete the other half of your investment at this price, you finally invest your $2,500 USD at $0.23 having it done using Market sale because you are in a panic and would like to complete your order as fast as possible, the price trails to 0.2310 so you end up buying in at, lets say, $0.2305 coming up with an imaginary total price in average.
So, at $0.2305 you would have purchased 10,845.98698481562 ICN's and then you can do a price average between your first $2,500 round of purchasing at price point of: $0.2055 and your second and final round of purchasing a price point of $0.2305 to conclude that your total ICN holding are now: 23,011.43710647012 ICN's and the average between $0.2055 and $0.2305 is: 0.2180
So, at a price point of $0.2180 you invested $5,000 USD to get a total of 23,011.43710647012 ICN's just 3,408.64215376766 LESS ICN than what you would have got if you had invested at the averaged price point of: $0.18925
So with the above example I wouldn't sweat it that I didn't buy in at a lower price, as you can see the difference in terms of the amount of ICN's you would be getting wasn't too much in the above example, buying at $0.2305 only caused you to get 3,408.64 less ICN tokens than what you would have if you had purchased at 0.18925 which is still impressive and its a reason not to lament not having purchased just a few cent cheaper.
So there you go, you can divide your planned investment capital onto two equal orders, one that you execute now, and the other that you execute hopefully cheaper in YOUR best case scenario or expensive in YOUR worst case scenario either way the differences wont be that much if you HAVE to complete the other half at a much higher price.
