I generated wallet yesterday at MEW and assuming it's a good one to receive my tokens? I see others tested them already.

I just did a successful transfer of test ICN from my registered ICONOMI ETH account to another ETH account I own...

....using myetherwallet ....

....FROM AN AIRGAPPED WINDOWS 7 COMPUTER !!!

It worked perfectly.

My freshly minted key file and password were never in contact with the internet.

Thank you, kvhnuke and tayvano for your wonderful software!

MY BODY IS READY FOR ICONOMI !!!

Stand by for a PDF comic book with lots of screencaps showing how I did it...give me an hour or so.

In Mal we trust.  Cool

I wouldn't say I trust him, but yeah he's right

The ledger nano S is not cheap, it costs 58€ and it will take some time until it gets delivered, so it's not an option for us who don't own such a hardware.

It is not free but, come on, 58€ for something that secures an asset that in a year or two will be valued at 5-6 figures? We have a different stance in the word "cheap" then, to each their own I guess.

I also own a Trezor for my bitcoins and it is the best ~115$ I have ever spent.

But yes, it won't be in time for the distribution. I am also have to re-send the ICNs from the Ethereum address I have wrote in the ICO panel to the Ledger the 25th.

Hey guys,

Just letting you know that  I am successfully using the ledger nano s with the MEW support and it is just amazing: the security of a hardware wallet with no private keys exposed and the ease of use of MyEtherWallet.

I have just moved all my Plutons from a regular Ether account (UTC archive created in MEW) and now I'm much more at ease knowing that they're secure. Will move my ICN there too Smiley

So just letting you know guys, if you're looking for something secure and easy to use look no further.

Best,

Thanks @sanchicharro, I was posting the ledger nano s question yesterday. I do have one more question. How do you send ICN or other assets using nano S?

Hey there,

You're welcome. Yes, I've transferred all my Plutons (an ERC token just like ICN) that were held in a regular UTC archive to the Ledger Nano and about 0.5 Ethers (for sending tokens here and there).

As a curiosity once you plug your Ledger in MEW it let you choose between a good number of different ETH address that are generated by your ledger, here is the message:

"Your single HD mnemonic phrase can access a number of wallets / addresses. Please select the address you would like to interact with at this time."

I'm using one for PLU and will use another one for ICN.

Best,
@sanchicharro thank you very much! that is really helpful. I am getting one for my ICN token!

Anytime, by the way, I just found the tutorials after I learned the stuff by myself  Tongue

https://ledger.groovehq.com/knowledge_base/topics/how-to-secure-your-eth-tokens-augur-rep-dot-dot-dot-with-your-nano-s

That way you can take a look at how it actually looks.

Best,

I will take a look, thanks again, man!

didn't buy enough

Same here.  I'm getting BTC ready now so I can set buy orders at launch

Maybe the price of ICN will be less than the ico price but I think that people will rush to sell them at the first day at launch.
