so what exactly is new that this blockchain brings to the table that others don't offer?

mined all night http://intensecoin.com/pool/#   shows blocks found still 0 coins received..   what a waste of energy

I take it back, it just took a long time for my coins to show  Grin  mining again,  my bad
it takes a while due to the block mature status & payment distribution.

now i am getting "DNS address could not be found"  is the pool down?
looking into it.

Hey gang, been reading up here. Liking what I see so far  Wink

But lots more to check out yet  Grin
Thanks! There is a lot that needs to be done from our side as well. Enjoy exploring the project

I guess there is something wrong.
Blocktime is arround 15 minutes but the difficulty is still growing. That's probably due to the today's hashrate peak between 02 and 03 GMT (over 5Mh/s), but the algo should adapt and adjust the diff faster.

I am hearing a lot of questions about block difficulty mentioned here and in Slack. I'll try to clarify.

CryptoNote derived coins adjust difficulty based on the time it took to hash the last day's worth of blocks (720 blocks in our case), minus 8.3% of outliers on each end (~17% total). It will take time for the network to re-adjust after someone pointed a lot of hashing power at the pool. The coin is always attempting to target a block time of 120 seconds based upon those last 720 blocks.

This scenario will become increasingly less common and probable as the network grows. It is vulnerable to an influence like this due to the immaturity of the blockchain and the lack of hashing power, especially as most hashing power is concentrated in a single pool. For now, this is our reality.

The difficulty adjustment algorithm works quite well. It will work better once the coin is more established. For now, we will have periods of fluctuation due to the factors described above. Network hash rate as displayed on the pool is calculated as a function of the last X blocks, just like difficulty. It's not necessarily representative of the true hash rate if people only momentarily direct TONS of hashing power at the network for a short period of time (which is what happened yesterday).

To address the questions about 'why no block explorer at launch' - I'm not sure it's really necessary with a young network. The vast majority of transactions are just mined coins, especially before the coin is on an exchange and has more value associated with it. We had our hands full with other matters and wanted to offer the community an opportunity to engage and receive a handsome bounty. Nobody was able to fulfill the bounty so we took care of the task. Regardless, it's done now Wink

Is there any other mining pools besides http://intensecoin.com/pool/ ?

Network hash rate is 1.28 MH/sec, but http://intensecoin.com/pool/ have only 230 KH/sec

May be there is another pool with more hash rate?

Network hash rate includes those that are solo mining.. I don't think there is a pool with more hashing power than the original one so far.

DEVELOPMENT UPDATE

Valiant has developed a working Block Explorer. Check it at the following page: http://intensecoin.com/explorer/

If you haven't tested the new alpha version Wallet yet then feel free to do so.

Check out the following blog post for more information: https://intensecoin.com/2017/08/31/mandatory-wallet-update-ticker-change/

We have also updated linux x86_64 binaries for GUI wallet + miner and posted to Github releases at the following links...

Insane In The Blockchain ⚠
Im sorry if it seemed negative, I was actually just asking a question, why would you release if everything is not in place... I wasnt trying to be rude
There is no decent open source block explorer for cryptonote-based coins. For bitcoind clones - no problem, but not for this.
I wanted to try to make one but couldn't even compile node under FreeBSD Cheesy Cryptonote is a lot less common, so it requires a real development, not just forking some ready-to-use products.
But you have a right to question why they didn't do it before the launch. Develop first, release afterwards.
So we all are playing an early access game now with a lot of bugs and missing features Smiley

Its Claymore CryptoNote miner not dual miner mate you may wanna change that.

why the pool http://intensecoin.com/pool2/# show Network hash rate: 7XX KH/sec and the pool has 4~5.XMH/sec

pool hash higher than Network hash, and make my 35 KH/s profits lower 50%!!!

I watch it several days, it always happening from GMT + 8 AM 8:00 to PM 15:00

Alas
it's true!
I often do not get paid ...
but I put up with that on the pool:
- or steal
- or do a poor job

Today, from 5 am to 7 am, my payments were stopped
my digging was successful.
Where did my digging go for 2 hours ?! (about 150 coins)

I get a lot less coins than calculator calculates ..
from 30% to 60% per day less ...

p.s. two more hours passed ...
my rig is digging well.
coins are not added ... (added to someone, but not to me)
works already many days without a stop and coins should be added!
Alas

I notice the same, lot less coins than before.

same here.. last payment 9/6/2017, 3:43:36 AM while it's 9AM now..
Back to mining signatum..

two coins were added for 6 hours
this is my% for 6 hours of work!
it says that the pool is working,
but only divides the earned money - in a new way!
