it takes approx. 10 of these to replace 1 of 7950 for ltc mining...price kind of steep

I can't seem to get these to ever pay themselves off at $98, seems a strange price to start the market with.

Interesting project indeed. The scrypt hashing rate is bit low, but possibility of dual mining is very interesting. I'll get some to test also. Good work!
