Looks like people are starting to take notice, price has almost doubled. I can only imagine where it will be once we get to the next stage of testing the system. Exciting stuff!
I wouldn't read too much into such a short pump. There are plenty of reasons why crptos shoot up in price and then fall back to close to their previous levels. If the price went up for no reason in the last 2 days, it can drop back for no reason in the next 2 days. But yes, definitely exciting stuff overall.

Hi dev,

I am a buyer of crowd sale using btc. what shoul I do if I want sell some maids now?

Thanks.

I'm not the dev but you could send your coins via Omniwallet to Poloniex.

If you want to sell them then you can do that there.

How could I get the coins from the crowd sale btc address ?

thanks

I'm not sure I understand the question.

Are you asking how to send the Maidsafe coins from your BTC wallet that you purchased from the crowdsale?

You should have them if that is the case...please clarify...

Yes, how to send the Maidsafe coins from  BTC online wallet that purchased from the crowdsale?
You'll need to import the private keys of the Bitcoin wallet that you used to make the donation into a Mastercoin wallet like Omniwallet. Then you can send to an exchange like Poloniex.

glad to see the huge price rise of maid.
why not the msc?

Maidsafe will be equal to Safecoin when the Safe Network goes live.  The price rise is based on the continued progress of development, now in TestNet2, of the Safe Network.

MSC has nothing to do Maidsafe other than it is hosting the token until the exchange happens.  So the price of MSC is not necessarily a relevant point of concern.

The last several posts on this page seem to be from a group of people more concerned with the "Counterparty vs Mastercoin 2.0 battle"...when Maid switches to Safecoin there will be no more association with MSC on a technical level.  So why is there any impetus for action here?  I don't speak for Maid nor am I anything more than a guy who was hitting refresh every second before the crowdsale went live (for BTC) but I don't think that MSC is so poorly managed that Maidsafe tokens are in any danger.

I'm starting to wonder if this newly cropped up issue is the reason for the flash crash recently...which is mostly recovered at this point...

Therefor my questions are

How many mastercoins did the Maidsafe team get from the IPO?

What is/was the current plan for all the Mastercoins that the Maidsafe team has at the moment?

The answer, at least in part, is contained within this link...which I'll quote despite posting the link earlier on this page.

Quote
“his part is easy, it is much more equivalent to $3M in todays cash if we were to convert it,” … Wasn’t the total amount more like $6M ? Where did the $3M valuation come from? At which point in time?
At finish of crowdsale it was estimated to be $4 Million in MSC and $3 Million of BTC. The reference to $3 Million was a question of if you liquidated all the crypto immediately.

I think the issue regarding a hardfork of MSC by community members is a serious one if I don't misunderstand completely.  I have no idea how many of the MSC is currently retained by Maidsafe but they are using the funds raised by the crowdsale to fund development (they have hired new developers/annual salary of $40,000ish).

A CounterParty/Mastercoin battle (note - I do not think that this is from CounterParty officialdom but rather investors who might be frustrated with MSC or who see an opportunity) could potentially disrupt progress on Maidsafe development.  Why would anyone want that?

Please correct me if I am overstating things or am not interpreting correctly.  From what I have read this seems to be a new issue with some potentially non impactful or really impactful "solutions" to a problem that I am not confident is an issue with regards to Maidsafe.

You are here ---------> but you're not all there.
My understanding is that Mastercoins are in the bitcoin blockchain so nobody can take them (without your private keys) and nobody outside of MaidSafe can prevent MaidSafeCoins being converted to SafeCoins at which point there will be no connection whatsoever between MaidSafe and Mastercoin.

I am all for leaving Mastercoin because I think it has given nothing but trouble. I do however worry that the mastercoins that the Maidsafe coin team holds will be worth even less (and continue to decline) if Maidsafe leaves mastercoin.

I have a post up over here:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/proposal-to-fork-mastercoin-and-burn-a-portion-of-jrs-immense-stash-878363

Basically we are talking about the pro's/con's of forking mastercoin. A great number of people feel like the project is dead and/or horribly mismanaged to the point where the difference is hard to tell.

Of particular interest though, especially to me, is what would happen to our maidsafe coins if Mastercoin totally dies, or if we were to fork mastercoin. A 3rd option that has been mentioned is porting Maidsafe tokens to Counterparty where we would have a genuine functioning bitcoin 2.0 system and community.

It would be great if someone from Maidsafe chimed in on the conversation, as we know Maidsafe is holding a lot of MSC.

I share your concern crazy_rabbit, I am very uneasy about all my Safecoin being reliant upon that POS known as Mastercoin.

Personally, I don't see any point at all in forking Mastercoin. I think the best approach is for the Maidsafe guys to come up with a way for us to ditch the Mastercoin system ASAP! I would even prefer they have my Safecoin marked on a spreadsheet and linked to an email address rather than rely on Mastercoin.

Will services at MaidSafe be cheaper then at AWS?

When is MaidSafe ready? When can I buy 10 TB backup space? How fast will the connection be from Europe/DE-CIX?

where to trade safecoin?  thanks.

You can get Maidsafecoin on either Masterxchange or Poloniex.  That is the token that will be traded for Safecoin when the Safe Network goes live (essentially, Maidsafecoin=Safecoin).
