I really haven't had any luck mining it with claymore. I don't know if it even supports it.

If anyone is mining with claymore, care to share your "start" command line?

I think I'll mine for a few days to get some hundred thousand coins. All the best to the project!
I would love an option for the desktop wallet or the online wallet to print a paper wallet for cold storage.
It's on the features list  : mnemonics and qr codes for easily importing wallets to web/mobile wallets, but you can currently export your private key either on a file or printing the output of file/export key (I know, the window title is written import, but it's export)

Nice. Good to hear!
I'm actually having trouble mining it. I'm trying to use cryptonight claymore 11.3 and I get incorrect shares.
Is it -pow7 or -lite?
It's liteV1

# May Development Update :

  • A new developer from the community, @daclasen has stepped up and created the new Iridium - Java API integration.  Daclasen is a dev who specializes in java, frontend, backend and infrastructure engineering. You can start to use the JAVA API in your own applications.  Grab it here: https://github.com/iridiumdev/iridium-java-api. Much Thanks to daclasen !

  • This also means we have a new "Dev Integration" set of work that will let us integrate Iridium with as many languages as possible! @daclesen has also contributed an iridium docker module to help with this. Support on discord #dev-integration : https://discord.gg/28b4wPP

  • @stevebrush has delivered our first Iridium Payment plugin.  The Iridum wordpress / woocomerce plug-in allows WP/WooCommerce stores to accept Iridium!  This is an important step for the coin.   We need beta-testers to use this.  Grab the integration here https://github.com/iridiumdev/iridium-woocommerce and ask for support on Discord #dev-wpplugin : https://discord.gg/s949XKA

# Donations news :

  • @Seb Green has run the https://cryptoknight.cc/iridium pool for awhile now. Since our project is based on donations he has very generously agreed to donate $500 per month. This will go to support iridium and help with marketing efforts.  Thanks Seb!

  • As you know, these donations help us to integrate exchanges and also help us with marketing and getting the word out. The infrastructure is currently provided free of charge by @cryptoguy. But we are planning to pay for this infrastructure at some point when we are big enough.

  • Please do not hesitate to help this project out, even with a small donation. The BTT post is still there and donation addresses still work!

  • Big thanks to Comfuzio, Dink, Seymoura and Catz for their help over the past week!

# Next Steps :

  • Now that the JAVA API is complete, we can move to the next step of integrating Iridium into bisq.network! Bisq.network is a wonderful decentralize network of exchanges. Community Member, daclasan has taken on this integration. If you are a dthe decentralized network of exchanges. The development of this integration has begun.

  • Steve will start to explore web/mobile wallet options.

  • Shaun will be finalizing the whitepaper and moving forward with more Iridum Bot support.

Best wishes and talk to all soon!

After many tries to contact him, irdpool.tk stil running a v3 node. While this is not really a problem, this can cause weird visual drops when syncing the wallet for the first time. Also, people that still mining on the v3 node will never validate their blocks and transactions in the v4, so they are mining for nothing.

So please, stop these old nodes. @IRD-PoolOperator (last active : March 26... grrr)

I think that PoW is no longer needed because we have PoS...

PoS is rewarding wealth. PoW is rewarding work.

Therefore PoS = Piece of Sh..

Iridium is PoW.

Those who want to see the fraudulent legacy financial system, where newly issued money goes to the billionaires/monopolists, the friends of the central bankers, and then eventually a tiny bit of it "trickles down" to their wage slaves, bering introduced in crypto too --> Support PoS coins.

Those who want to see crypto as a system where newly issued money goes directly to the workers (aka miners) --> Support PoW coins

I guess most of the kids who scream for PoS on this and other forums have no clue what that concept really means. I doubt they are rich, probably just stupid.

If you think about it, it's the same thing, you don't mine with your hand bro, you mine with your gpu,cpu or whatever, at the end of the day it's still money. They can have a big farm or they can buy coins, same thing it's still money. PoS is better in a sense that it does not allow big company like Bitmain to have asics for themselves (they usually mine with asics for months before selling them). PoS will prevent that.

And how to prevent PoS low liquidity and whales buying giant loads of it just to gain a fat passive income?

Why exactly do you think PoS is better than PoW? Don't you think PoS reduces market liquidity?
