low coin supply is good, hope this project will be considered by the community.
Getting an error when opening the wallet from a Win7 machine.

MSVCP140.dll is missing from your computer...

Any ideas..

Yes, the issue is that you need to download and install this: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=48145
I will add this to the main page so others know as well.

Thank you Dev! High hopes for this project, the first big plus is Cryptonight and low coin supply. Do you guys have a Slack channel yet?

Thank you both for the support! No, this project currently has no means of communication other than this forum.
I may make a discord in the future, when more people are invested into the project.

http://ird.globalpool.cc/ - is now running at 0% fee!

Remember to spread evenly throughout the pools to keep hash-rate and therefore block generation decentralized!

Thanks @iridiumdev!

is that my build just uploaded to github (looks like it from the file dates) or did you manage to get it compiled yourself?

Just yours, Smiley

ALSO

Updated main post and forked the fastest ccminer for IRD into our github, also added .bat files for each pool to allow easier and less stressful start to mining.

Okay, this version of Iridium Wallet should work.
Please let me know of any issues.

https://github.com/iridiumdev/iridium-qt/releases/tag/v1.02w

If you can't connect to any peers, please allow the .exe in your firewall.

Your wallet is stored at: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Iridium
Access this folder by typing %appdata% in windows, then going to Iridium Dictionary

To import an old simplewallet file, drag your .wallet file from simplewallet and rename it to Iridiumwallet.wallet

Any plans for a website, explorer, whitepaper, media/marketing and logo for Iridium?
Logo is already created, but not posted yet by the developer. This is a cryptonote-based coin: https://cryptonote.org/whitepaper.pdf

As IRD-PoolOperator said, I've done the logo, haven't really put it into good use yet, since i can't post images to forum yet. Block explorer is next on the roadmap, right after we fix all these issues with the windows wallet. Once more community suggestions come in and Iridium begins to take shape, I will write a whitepaper. For marketing, we need a solid goal and lots of funding, which I don't have right now. If anyone has a good way to raise funds to get this coin onto an exchange later, please message me or post this forum. Thanks Smiley

if you're brave and you have a leap of faith to trust a newbie, here's my attempt to compile the windows wallet:

http://f4k3.net/~fake/Iridium-qt.zip

it should contain all of the required things (and maybe a tad more to make sure) and should work on 32- and 64bit windows versions (being 32bit).

let me know how it works out for you. it should work on windows. if not, we both will learn something Wink

if you are happy, IDR donations are appreciated: ir3Wx7ug1PV3JHXGkShhQg15afywZamSWKr5iT7PiBtxgYDK8WTpLiBVNVU7j5anBTVGujaXQV6JEjB Mcibf9ReV2J8qbA6hT

if you are not happy, get some ice cream or a coffee or whatever makes your boat float Wink

edit: for the lack of http_s_, here's the SHA256-sum for that archive: 7fbac156891a49aa4a4f922d0787fc53b84ac8a8d0df9dfe0d1cf20539df071a

I will spend more time on it but I can't get it to pick up my .wallet file so it just keeps starting up with your IDR wallet ID.

Can open from inside and then will default to yours, but, I cannot get it to accept mining connections and the debug window is disabled for some reason.

Howdy,
I'm trying to mine on windows using the daemon, followed the instructions here in the forum and everything seem to work just fine.
I left it mining something like ten hours and it shows that it finds blocks every now and then, i'm also mining with an intel i7 but when I check the wallet balance it say that it's empty.
Tried also on a second machine and same result. Is there something wrong with windows mining? I can't seem to get any of it working on either machines...

dll dependencies are fine, no need to compile a static qt - you might also be on the verge of violating their LGPL license if you do. just do what you did before in release instead of debug configuration - what is the problem? maybe i can help Wink

It gives an entry point error when I do that with the release build.
