as soon as it connect it says something about that I dont have any BTC wallet and cant solo mine... Can someone help me with this?

hi here is a couple of links that may help with your setup

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.11590434   (try putting  --btc-address Jxxxxx  )

also try this guide using 127.0.0.1 as the IP address

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/guide-noob-guide-to-solo-mining-usb-erupters-with-cgminer-315477

When I try to use 127.0.0.1:15578 I get the following message:

Quote

 [2016-01-26 16:58:07] Probing for an alive pool
 [2016-01-26 16:58:17] Waiting for work to be available from pools.
 [2016-01-26 16:59:07] No servers were found that could be used to get work from.
 [2016-01-26 16:59:07] Please check the details from the list below of the servers you have input
 [2016-01-26 16:59:07] Most likely you have input the wrong URL, forgotten to add a port, or have not set up workers
 [2016-01-26 16:59:07] Pool: 0  URL: http://127.0.0.1:15578  User: user  Password: pass
 [2016-01-26 16:59:07] Press any key to exit, or cgminer will wait indefinitely for an alive pool.

I did add the --btc-address Jxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx and that seems to work, and I did enter my IP for my PC where i am running the qt -server (http://192.168.0.10:15578)

AND IT WORKS! Cheesy

Thank you for the help guys!

So for everyone out there who is looking for how to remotely run your setup in the home use the IP for the PC/Mac where your qt wallet is running, not the 127.0.0.1 as every guide out there on internet says... I guess 127.0.0.1 its just working if you run the miners from the same PC/Mac.

EDIT: working now, thank you.

Nosofast what is the price of mining jiffy coin?

It's changed within a really wide range. At the highest it was 3k, right when it got listed for trade at safecex. Right now it's surprisingly cheap, like 1k, but that's not gonna last long with orders going off at Yobit in the 7k range. I'm surprised I'm not seeing more miners jumping on right now.

Thank you! As soon as I created the conf file it downloaded! Now to my next problem... solo mining..

I got a Raspberry Pi 2 B+ running with a couple of Antminer U3's and I got it working good when I connect to pools, but I want to set it up to solo mine...
Can someone tell me if it is possible to do it directly on my Raspberry Pi setup?

I did download JiffyCoin-qt.exe, and made the conf file like this:

rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=pass
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcallowip=192.168.0.*
daemon=1
server=1
listen=1
port=15579
rpcport=15578
addnode=185.61.148.218
addnode=185.86.149.151
addnode=142.54.185.146
addnode=192.52.166.80
addnode=31.17.115.103
addnode=37.59.18.108

and i start up my wallet qt by typing: JiffyCoin-qt.exe -server

and from my Raspberry Pi setup i do the cgminer command like I usually do when I connect to any pool except that I try to use my local IP to the PC..

sudo ./cgminer --bmsc-options 115200:0.54 -o http://192.168.0.154:15578 -u user -p pass --bmsc-voltage 0830 --bmsc-freq 0982

as soon as it connect it says something about that I dont have any BTC wallet and cant solo mine... Can someone help me with this?
(192.168.0.154 is the ip on my pc where I have the wallet downloaded)

Or is there any easier way to solo mine?

hi here is a couple of links that may help with your setup

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.11590434   (try putting  --btc-address Jxxxxx  )

also try this guide using 127.0.0.1 as the IP address

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/guide-noob-guide-to-solo-mining-usb-erupters-with-cgminer-315477

If this works let us know otherwise, check that the wallet is working in step 1 after JiffyCoin-qt.exe - server by running getmininginfo command , provide exact OS details that you are running and exact wording of the error message.

Jiffycoin is a clone of Bitcoin so guides relating to bitcoin will apply to Jiffycoin also other than the config file details.  Im also assuming you are aware that solo mining has some luck to it and pool mining is a good way to get started.

The following pools are currently running for JiffyCoin

https://jif.suprnova.cc

https://www.ipominer.com/

http://jiffycoin.slugmonkeypool.net/

I will be working on FAQ's section on the website and links to it from the forum to help.

Mine the hottest new coins at ipoMiner.com
My Windows wallet says that no block source is aviable (2 weeks behind). (0 active connections to JiffyCoin network).Is that normal? Im pretty new to mining...

If you need more peers, here's a few I have:

addnode=185.61.148.218
addnode=185.86.149.151
addnode=37.59.18.108
addnode=176.31.13.198
addnode=52.25.146.200
addnode=184.2.150.152

Add those to your jiffycoin.conf and restart the wallet.

Try leaving your wallet open for awhile. It should connect to a node if one was hardcoded. If not, navigate to [username]\AppData\Roaming\Jiffycoin and create a text file, which you will rename Jiffycoin.conf. Then open up the text file and add the following before saving it:

Code:
addnode=jif.suprnova.cc

Close and restart your Jiffycoin wallet and that should kickstart the download of the blockchain after waiting a few minutes.
