I think that is catered for when it comes to using their futures trading platform since the rewards are in form of futures trading bonus. So anyone who tries to cheat won't be able to use the rewards due to a non verified account

To further improve the performance of the contract trading system, KuCoin Futures has scheduled to perform a system upgrading at 07:00 on July 14, 2020 (UTC).

Doing KYC on this exchange as far as I know is optional unless you wanted to increase your trading value or increase your capacity for withdrawal, I still have my account on this exchange, and so far I am not required to conduct KYC. Aside from it, I dont think they are the same with other exchange, Binance and Kucoin are almost two of the good markets and at least trusted. Your opinion on KYC is right, its actually dangerous only if you are careless.

No issue for me about using exchange. Can you share you share your experience with them?

Kucoin is my favourite exchange, I don't trust any exchange as much as Kucoin and Binance.
Holding assets on the exchange is wrong but this exchange is very safe and secure.
I am staking energi coin(NRG) on this exchange for the last few months, no issues so far. Good exchange
