Hello admin, i checked your website and go to the tutorial and click 'How to publish a web page on keva blockchain' link,
but there is only 'undefined' text displayed. Please fix your website because i want to know how to use the coin on the network.
Here is the link : https://kevacoin.org/tutorial.html

Thanks for reporting the issue! We have fixed the link and you should be able to see it now.

Here is the direct link to the tutorial:
https://explorer.kevacoin.org/ns/html/NceXtbgQD92zrVM7QUnfNhrRcj2DQ1PewD

For now, you will need the command line tool "kevacoin-cli" to read and write Keva database. We are adding a cool GUI interface to the GUI wallet to make it extremely easy for anyone to use. We will release it soon, please stay tuned!

You can think of the namespace as the "IP address" on the blockchain. Anyone can set up their name service (i.e. DNS for the blockchain) to map the namespace to a human-readable "domain" name.

Thankyou for fixing the tutorial, i hope keva will become a great coin someday.

v0.16.5.1 Release
-------------------------------

GUI for Key-Value Database Operations!

This release adds Graphical User Interface (GUI) for the Key-Value database operations, which should make it much easier for programmers and non-programmers to use Kevacoin's unique blockchain database feature.

The "bookmarks" feature is experimental and we will continue to improve it in the future release.

Highlights of this release:

- Added GUI for Key-Value database operations for Windows, Linux and MacOS desktop wallets.
- Fixed keva_filter command-line option parsing.

Nice project,
im mining it today !
Anyone can share your hashrate?

Keva uses a variant of RandomX called RandomKeva. It is about 5 - 10% faster than RandomX due to its use of smaller scratchpad.
You can find out the hashrates of various CPUs here for RandomX:

https://monerobenchmarks.info/

Please note that with RandomX and RandomKeva, CPU normally has a big advantage over GPU. So you should consider mining with CPU.

Does Keva have a real-world use case?
How it is better from other crypto currencies?
Why should people prefer it?

Yes!  In an extremely simple example, anyone can easily write messages in the KVA blockchain. Yes, BTC can do that too, but KVA has the builtin commands to do that. What is more, KVA is a structural database, you can easily find the message you post, update it, delete it (the history will still be there though).

Database is the foundation of modern internet applications. For the first time, KVA implements a database that is open to everyone, not owned by anyone, secure and trusted. Using KVA database does not require smart contract, any programming languages will do. And unlike smart contract, which is very difficult to implement and validate, with KVA database, the applications are easy to implement and easy to update.

Any applications that require a database that is not owned by anyone, yet is open to everyone should consider using KVA. Example, public identity system, public service messages, public notary system, coordination between federated social network instances (e.g. Mastodon). It can essentially be used as a "glue" of the decentralized web.

And it is available TODAY. Read the simple documentation, and you are ready to take advantage of it.

Also among the Bitcoin derived coins, Kevacoin likely has the most CPU friendly mining algorithm - significantly faster than any GPUs. So fire up your PC and start mining  Wink

KVA will debut on KuangEx.com with KVA/USDT pair!

KuangEx.com is a new crypto exchange found on Oct. 1, 2019. The website is currently Chinese only, but their representative told us that it will soon have an English version.

We are experiencing a sudden increase in hash rate after the algorithm change. Our original hope was that we could have a period of organic growth after the switch, but apparently this is not the case now.

Here are what we suggest:

1. For the miners, if possible, please try to distribute your hash rate among different ming pools. The goal is to make our blockchain as decentralized as possible.
2. For developers, if you have difficulty getting the coins (KVA) to test the platform, please feel free to let us know. We have a community fund to support the developers.

If you have any suggestions and concerns, please feel free to let the community and us know.

If we see the network hash rate of the coin in : https://miningpoolstats.stream/kevacoin ,
the most hash rate is on lepool, about 70% network hash rate.
im gonna mining the coin on other pool to distribute the hash rate, hashvault maybe the good choice.

Well hopefully these are distributed miners, and it would be cool if some of the miners switch over to the other pools to distribute the network hashrate. Otherwise, I'm pretty happy that so many new people have jumped on board.

The switch of hash algorithm from Cryptonight R to RandomKeva will be executed at block 46130, approximately 36 hours from now (current time is 4:52 a.m, March 25, 2020). If you run a full node, please make sure to upgrade it to v0.16.5.

Really looking forward to what the project can bring, and am happy to be part of the growing community Cheesy

Sent a 15k KVA donation to community fund @ VE6Q8bpn8gRKRoWXFPXMPFZt6juXYyNbe1 (txid 42e746495148471ad8efd76504d9128799ed4cef62a3bca0b67713c4eb1bc919). Let's all continue to help the dev team with funding so that we can have bounties and expand our reach.

Thank you!

We have updated the ANN to add the donation section:

Donation

We have a community fund to support the development and promotion of Kevacoin. The fund can be used for:

1. Bounty campaign.
2. Give-away to developers to try out the platform.
3. Future exchange listing.
4. etc.

The fund belongs to the community, and its management is transparent. We currently only take Kevacoin and please send your donation to this address:
VE6Q8bpn8gRKRoWXFPXMPFZt6juXYyNbe1

Once you give a donation to the above address, please send a note to this channel to let us know (you can stay anonymous if you wish so :grinning: ). Every time we take KVA from the fund, we will also notice the community through this channel.

You can see the transaction of the fund here:

What are the difficulties of the ports ? port 3333 is for the low end hardware isn't it ? my computer cpu is not too high.
Thank you for your previous explanation.

Right, port 3333 is for low-end hardware with the initial difficulty of 8000. The mining pool will adjust the difficulty according to the actual hashrate of your hardware. It will increase the difficulty if the hardware has higher hashrate, while it will decrease the difficulty if it has lower actual hashrate.

Here are the description of the test mining pool:

      "port": 3333,
      "difficulty": 8000,
      "desc": "Low end hardware"

      "port": 5555,
      "difficulty": 16000,
      "desc": "Mid range hardware"

      "port": 7777,
      "difficulty": 32000,
      "desc": "High end hardware"

v0.16.5 Release - Mandatory Upgrade

Note: Previous release v0.16.4 contains critical issues. Do not use!

This is a major release of Kevacoin software, upgrade to this release is mandatory due to the hard fork on March 25, 2020. The hard fork will switch the Proof-of-Work hash algorithm from Cryptonight R to RandomKeva.

Before upgrading to this version, make sure to back up your wallet in case something unexpected happens. Uninstall the previous version and install this version.

Important changes in this release:

- Switch the Proof-of-Work hash algorithm from Cryptonight R to RandomKeva.
- Faster wallet synchronization.
- Fixed Initial Block Download (IBD) with RandomKeva. Added new data structure to store the hashes at different seed height.
- Disable miner mode of RandomKeva hash function. The miner mode causes incorrect results when the seed height changes, due to the incorrect initialization of the RandomX VM.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions.

Very nice, i guess i will using xmrig 5.9.0 to mining from my computers.
