Now the real problem is that all my rigs are shown OFF, although they are all happily hashing to customers' pools and LRP is reporting hashrates. Anything to do with the latest update?

I do appreciate subtlety, but a small gray font does not lend itself well to "attention", does it?  And again, localization, please, since UTC = halfway 'round the planet for some of us.

Oh come on. Message stands out enough, no need to have a gaudy 30px red font up there. And you can easily add your time offset on your own, UTC is fine as it doesn't get messed up twice a year as most timezones do.

So A post here in the OP.  And as the last reply.

A post in the news section of the site.

A post on the helpdesk.

An email to all providers.

A notice on the top of the site in bright red letters.

That's all we need?

Is leaserig down? I can't log in or get to anything useful at the website.

EDIT: Never mind, I see the notes above... yeah, not exactly a clear explanation of what is going on.

maintenance how many hours ?

One recommendation I have is for you to announce planned maintenance at the top of the web site in nice visible text.  It doesn't have to be Giant Sized, just visible.  Even knowing an hour in advance would be helpful and keep people from wondering what's going on an how long it will be unavailable.

You mean like this:

I want to see what the prices will be, before clicking modify.
It was working well before you changed it to 100% rather than 1.00

Also on bulk management page it was working too, but now it doesn't work at all (the preview, not the modification itself)

That was a js glitch and should be fixed in todays build.

Here is what I found out about the factor/percentage price update bug - on the individual rig screen, I'm to scared to try this in bulk Smiley :

If you enter the percentage, e.g. 105 and CLICK the Modify button, it will work as intended - confusing wording "by" vs "to" notwithstanding - i.e. increase the prices by 5%.

If you enter the percentage, e.g. 105 and move the focus out of the text field by e.g. pressing Tab key or clicking something other than the Modify button, it will screw up the prices (will set all totals to 0.001 I think). Apparently some kind of glitchy JavaScript kicks in "onblur". The only safe thing to do at that time is get out of that page without saving anything.

If you change the declared hashrate the price table will keep the total BTC value and adjust the BTC/MH/Day value accordingly. So for example you change a 10 MH/s rig to 20 MH/s, all your BTC/MH/Day values will be cut in half. I think this is completely backwards. We all rent by BTC/MH/Day and the system should preserve that. And get rid of the 0.001 minimum while you're at it, with no transaction fees to worry about anymore this should not be needed.

I wasn't aware of the legacy price changing by speed issue.   It makes sense.  I'll add it to the next update list.

Since the last update in which the percentage change was switched from 1.xx to 1xx, this feature is completely broken. If I enter 150, my prices go from 0.00392157 to 0.00002451. Huh
Please fix this ASAP, because I can't change my prices right now, and I'm probably not the only one.

Are you willing to provide steps to reproduce this?

I can modify prices for 40+ rigs all day long, and speed, and everything else.

I specifically addressed this problem with you in response to your post in my rep thread before all the trouble I had. It sounds awfully familiar to how my prices declined so much, doesn't it?  Roll Eyes

How so?

Currently the site encourages buyers to look at this thread.  If the last post they see is a complaint with no response from you or the customer it looks unresolved.

Shouldn't it really be up to me to decide how I should respond to customers' posts in my own rep thread? I see what you are getting at, but if a customer actually takes the time to read through my thread, and based on that one unanswered post decided not to rent my rig -- well that's on me. I consider the issue settled, and didn't want to drag the details of the drama into my thread. My customer has no more cause for complaints, and I didn't think bitching about him getting so much free time off me was really worth adding to the thread. The whole situation was irregular, and I'm pretty certain only happened in response to a glitch on Leaserig's side, as leaserig said my box was still being rented that entire time. However, what's done is done, and there is no point in dredging it up.

To be perfectly honest, maybe you should spend your time fixing your website instead of poking around in people's rep threads telling them what they should respond to. BTW, your recent change to the "Modify renting plans prices by:" is broken. It still requires you to use .98 instead of 98, but the insertion of '100' in there (instead of 1.0) implies otherwise and is confusing.

Rigs MUST be rated below their actual average hashing speed.  Your declared speed must be at least 1Kh/s below the 24 hour average hashing speed of the rig.
Miavator -- Why is this a requirement to lease a new rig?

If I want to rate my rig above or below actual, what difference does that make to you? You're already flagging rigs that are hashing "below" actual, so renters can see that and make their own decision on whether to that rig rent or not.

If you want to make sure that rigs are accurately rated on the site for some reason, I think the best approach would be to pull the rig owner rating off the site entirely. Just show actual hash speed and be done with it.

You want us to pull providers who don't accurately report speed?

I think you may be alone in that.

OK, So can anyone explain to me how I adjusted my stated hash rate from 31.0 to 30.5 (to cover some minor fluctuations) and my price went from .00133534 to .00013333??  Angry
In DarkKight's defense, I'm not sure I would have checked my prices after adjusting my stated hash rate as the two have been mutually exclusive up to this point.  I happened to catch the glitch in the latest JavaScript update and saved myself from an ultra-low priced rental, but I was changing prices, not my hash rate.

I've never seen this happen nor do we have any reports of it happening.

I've heard the system changes the prices when the hashrate is changed.  That is not something we have touched so it would all still be legacy.

And oh, did I mention that your auto-cancellation didn't even change the pools so the renter has been getting my rigs for free while I slept?

I'm leaving them there so you can see for yourself while I put in a support ticket about this.

I appreciated much of the hard work put into positive changes being made here lately, and it's my own fault for not reading the alert text quickly enough, but I generally correct issues within an hour (often within ten minutes) and provide appropriate lease extensions and refunds when necessary, so how do I disable this auto-cancellation feature?

I lost 24 hours of rental because of a 45 minute ISP issue that I could have easily compensated for by extending the lease.  Considering my rigs were rented for 0.0065 BMD and the new floor on the list is now under 0.006 BMD, I lost 24x0.0005 = 0.012 BTC, even if I had rented right away for 24 hours.

And please let us choose how we're paid.  Getting paid in DOGE is murder - by the time I'm done with a lease, especially a longer one, the DOGE is almost always worth less than what it was worth when the lease started.

So you didn't check your prices and later you didn't read your emails saying 'rig hired for so long at such a price' or 'Lease Renewed', but it's not your fault.
