Hi Daltonik,

That must have been a stalled transaction from a previous promotion, we did not send the LVT out to members of The Levitate Lounge, we will do that within 5 days from now once the Levitate blockchain has settled. There are still 300 blocks to go to get to the stable phase.

Join The Levitate Lounge as one of the first 100, and receive 1,500 LVT  --> https://lounge.levitatecoin.org

@Raist - Thank you for mentioning that. We asked our Dev One and he has the following to say about it;

"He agrees with you that as long as hashrate is low and non-diversed, a 51% attack could be a threat. If you use Levitate (LVT) you can protect yourself to consider only transactions with 12 or more confirmations as safe, as it would be very costly for an eventual attacker to mess up transactions which have already 12 or more confirmations. In the end, any coin that is a minority for a given proof of work is at a risk. It's basically unhelpable, and even the most talented people in the field have no way to address the problem (some are opportunistic about it, but no concrete solutions are available at the moment). Anyone can execute an attack if they have 51% or more hash power than all the honest miners of your coin. These attacks are limited in nature, but could be used e.g. to send someone money and then "undo" the sending. It has a cost equal to the cost of directing 51%+ hashpower at your coin, so they have to make a profit above that, but it's definitely something to keep in consideration."

The Levitate Team runs the Levitate mining pool and is currently the biggest miner, as we announced earlier on in order to move up to block 64512 asap.
You can trust the team to keep an eye on mining. Should others with bad intentions start building up hashrates higher than 51% we have several options to protect LVT.
However, there is no reason to assume anyone is out there with bad intentions towards Levitate,
as Levitate is a friendly coin for all, self-funding with honest intentions and currently still available for everyone at very low costs.

Levitate Winter 2018 Update

Only 5,000 blocks.
That is what Levitate (LVT) needs to mine from this moment to get the Levitate blockchain as fit as it can be.
After that no more bears on the road thanks to Dev One who rolled out the latest fixes in the blink of an eye.
Until we have mined the 5,000th block from now (which is block 64512) transactions run the risk of getting stalled or remaining unconfirmed.
We are not proud of that at all, in fact, it is very bad, and The Levitate Team sincerely apologizes for this inconvenient temporary situation.
The wallet hick-ups during the past 3 weeks caused some power miners to get out of the game which made the Levitate mining network drop in power.
That is why The Levitate Team stepped up to the plate and is throwing some serious mining power towards LVT to make sure the Levitate Community gets through those 5,000 blocks ASAP.
Meanwhile you can enjoy your Christmas & Winter Holidays and rest assured in the beginning of 2019 Levitate will be back stronger than ever.

Cheers to you all and wishing you a Levitating 2019 ,

The Levitate Team

Hi, in the discord channel a message from the representative of the Latoken Team about the interest of the listing of Levitate Coin passed. Any news on this? A positive decision would be a great opportunity for a Levitate coin. Smiley

Levitate Wallet Update

The Levitate Wallets have been updated today. Please update your wallet.
Before you update, always make a back-up of your old wallet and safeguard your password.

It is important you make a clean start with the new wallet.
You can do this by only keeping these files:

wallet.dat
levitate.conf
mempool.dat
banlist.dat
peers.dat

and removing all other files and folders in the Levitate roaming folder before you install the new wallet.

In Windows you can find these files and folders by clicking Start or going to the Windows 8 Search charm, typing %appdata% , and selecting the Roaming folder. There you will find the Levitate folder.

In iOS go to Finder, click Menu Go and select option Go to folder and there you type: ~/Library/Application Support/Levitate/ and then you click Go. There you will find the Levitate folder.

In Linux, go to the folder where you installed Levitate.

You can download the latest Levitate wallet version on https://levitatecoin.org/index.php/wallets

Before you update, always make a back-up of your old wallet and safeguard your password.
Only after you have done that, you download the latest version on https://levitatecoin.org/index.php/wallets and install.
This is the 1st step in a 2-step update proces, we expect the 2nd and final update to be available next week,
but for now it is important as many as possible LVT wallets get updated to today's version.

The Levitate mining pool is also up and running again and has 500000 vardiff on port 3456 for the powerminers.

The miner running for LPvKtQGD38qWbsq58CAL4HQ1LNS3CBwyVH is probably connecting to the wrong miningpool port as its efficiency is dropping from 100% to 80% all the time. That is a waste; if this is your miner, please check and adjust its mining port, it should probably be 3456 or otherwise 3256 . See: http://85.214.88.103/workers

Information about Levitate Mining

The miners are happily hammering LVT again. Currently the Levitate Network is running at 7.11 GH
In the past months many asked us how they could mine LVT.
At this moment it makes no sense to try to mine with a CPU or GPU as that would be a total waste of energy.

To mine LVT, you now need special mining hardware called "ASIC" miners to make it worthwhile.
If you like to explore the world of mining, Futurebit is a good place to start.
Futurebit is a quality supplier of nicely priced miners, they ship worldwide and they provide all the information you need to get started.
You can visit the Futurebit website here: https://www.futurebit.io/

Thank you for your work on Levitate Coins. For the FutureBit Project Apollo , you can read and discuss on the forum https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-futurebit-project-apollo-bringing-asic-mining-back-to-the-home-miner-4974036

Levitate coins are for buying specialized blockchain services that can be exchanged for rinse tokens for use in laundry. No utility other than that for levicoins. The culture of losing money requires that u borrow money from the people u trust to loss them in a field where most of the tokens of this nature find appliance. Money needs to be converted between different financial planes before it can finally be lost.
