The CLI wallet has synchronizing issues, don't bother using. Only the GUI wallet syncs fast and works well.
What kind of issues are you having exactly using the CLI wallet?
Basically it should be working fine and it's working fine right now, nothing to report from my end (of course I assume you are using the latest CLI wallet issued after the fork https://lines.pw/wallets/lines-win64-2.0.1.zip)

I confirm that CLI wallet works flawless for me.

The daemon (linesd) kept synchronizing for several hours (more than 12 hrs b4 closing it), and was also getting stuck at certain blocks after running for a while. Have deleted CLI (lines-win64-2.0.1) and installed the GUI instead.

The GUI wallet synced fast for me in less than 15 mins.

I like the idea of a simple interface for small money transfers. Mining with a small now that hash is not so high, looking forward to a stable version of the wallet.

Which exchanges are you planning? When will it be possible to trade tokens? If you look at it this way, friends will talk about it in a few days.
You can already trade Lines on https://altex.exchange/markets&pair=BTC_LNS
Listing on other exchanges is in the pipeline too, yet I see no point in specifying the names of the exchanges devs are negotiating with.
As soon as Lines gets listed elsewhere than Altex, you all will be informed.

Is there any airdrops /bounty ?

I'm sure there's a bounty campaign here.
Without this campaign it is not possible to promote the project, or it is more difficult to do than usual.
so I believe that the bounty campaign should be. and you can find all the necessary information about it on the first page of this section.
There actually is a Discord-invitations bounty campaign. Check the official Discord (#announcemements) https://discord.gg/CVT3xmh
Also team is preparing a massive marketing campaign for Bitcointalk signatures, YouTube videos and articles about Lines.

By the way, Lines test alpha versions of GUI-wallets are now available! Check this out  https://github.com/linescoin/lineswallet
And just a small reminder that Lines are now traded on Altex exchange https://altex.exchange/markets&pair=BTC_LNS  Wink

This project looks legit and it seems the dev team have great coding skills. Will continue mining this coin to support the network.

Question for Dev: Why do we have to first synchronize the blockchain before using wallet?

With several thousands of coins having you download the blockchain first, such a system is not feasible and is time consuming.

Have been using very few wallets from other new Cryptos, and didn't require downloading the blockchain to access funds. Can't the same be done for Lines Wallet?

Hi all,

Lines algorithm has been successfully upgraded to Cryptonight variant 1. Everything went smoothly, as usual.

Network hashrate is now ~150 Kh/s so that small miners are welcome back! With only 0.5 Kh/s (like a single 1060 AMD GPU) you can get ~600 LNS per day, this is really great.

Also Lines are now traded on Altex exchange https://altex.exchange/markets&pair=BTC_LNS so you can buy/sell your coins there (please note the exchange is working in beta-test mode but everything is working fine for the moment. Like deposits/withdrawals etc).

Have fun!

At this moment, we have a complete and fully working prototype of our new GUI-wallet.
We are working on making it available to the public in the very near future. Our GUI-wallet is being written completely from scratch and will be a 100% original codebase.
This is why it may be taking longer to get done than it might normally take.
This allows us to carefully design a better user-experience than simply copying/forking someone elses project and changing a few lines of code.

The list of wallets shown on the left side all support convenient drag'n'drop functionality. Users can simply drag their wallet (.bin) file onto the main window rather than browse to find it among many other ones on their hard-drives. Unlike the main window, this list has a slight transparency allowing users to be more focused on the main screen (window). Just a little 'design-magic' and attention to detail to improve the overall user experience. Smiley

On the main screen we aimed for a simpler, less-cluttered UI, so the user is not forced to delve into things like mixin and wallet rescan (if they don't want to). We've also paid a great deal of attention to bug-fixing with the overall goal of removing many issues users might have to deal with when using our new GUI-wallet.

Extensive internal checks showed that our GUI-wallet sample is nearly fully functional and as a result we believe are moving in the right direction. Although we cannot quote an exact release date, the wallet will most likely still "Go Live" later in April, in accordance with the timelines mentioned in our Roadmap.

update on the Cryptonight v1 for Lines

Right now dev-team has launched the testnet for Lines cryptonight v1 (algo used in monero v7). It is up and running.
Testnet block explorer: http://testexplorer.lines.pw/
Pool: http://testpool.lines.pw/

There might be some bugs (that's why it's testnet) and these are going to be fixed during extensive testing.
To mine on the test pool you can download latest version of xmrig https://github.com/xmrig/xmrig/releases and run it with following parameters: ./xmrig -l minelog.txt -r 20 --donate-level 1 -o testpool.lines.pw:9993 -u YOUR_ADDRESS -p x --variant 1 -k

Please note again that this is just the testnet so everything is done in the testing purposes. That means all your coins you have mined on this test pool cannot be used in the mainnet.

Windows binaries for cryptonight v1 testnet:

Newcomers are welcome to use our Faucet http://faucet.lines.pw to get some Lines to play with  Wink

Stay tuned.

There have been rumors devs are not that active as the Community wanted them to be. So here is the message-update to clear things up:

"Hi guys, I've been offline for a week or so. Sorry to haven't informed you all about this, I had to travel urgently and had almost zero access to the network. No one has to blame the dev team for the incativity (although you have rights to do so, obviously) but I think it's not true. Devs are active and doing some tremendous work on setting up a new wallet, testing it for the things to go smoothly right like it was on the launch of our coin back in March (do you remember it?) Not to mention the upcoming ASIC-protection fork, this is another big piece of work! The faucet  is in place. The new version of site is also being taken care of. Imagine all these things are being done in parallel by just a small team of devs. But we are all highly motivated and we all do our best to deliver a good product. Guys, just remember - We.Don't.Ship.Junk

Keep on mining and you won't be disappointed.
much respect"
