Jordan Belfort

The Wolf of Wall Street Says He Is Making $100 Million This Year

Defraud investors of more than $200 million, go to jail for a couple of years, then pocket $100 million as a reformed motivational speaker. That’s the lucrative life trajectory of Jordan Belfort, also known as the Wolf of Wall Street. The one-time stock broker, whose exploits were chronicled in last year’s blockbuster starring Leonardo DiCaprio, told a conference in Dubai that he’ll make more money this year than he ever did pumping and dumping questionable securities in the 1990s.

Belfort, whose Long Island-based stock brokerage Stratton Oakmont stole more than $200 million from investors over seven years, is going on a 45-city speaking tour in the U.S., according to Bloomberg. He reportedly gets paid about $30,000 per speech, and he also earns royalties from his best-selling memoir and the Martin Scorsese-directed film from last year, which grossed nearly $400 million worldwide. Add it all up and Belfort says he will make “north of $100 million” in 2014.

that is, it makes it possible to reduce the commission of not all transactions at once, but lower only those that the person himself chooses? What if he chooses a smaller commission, then his transaction can be postponed? ...

"After all is tested, the final version will be released." That is, it is not yet the main version, and the main version will be released in the near future?

As you think, when it is released - it will not be considered a significant event.

By the way, maybe a hard fork Litecoin Cash can soon raise the price for Litecoin?

Hey. The expected softfork about which Charlie Lee wrote came on the 8th "LiteCoin Core 0.15.1rc1". Litecoin did not react in any way to this event.
Tell me, this fork has not yet become public? That is, reduced commissions have not yet become available to all during transactions? Perhaps the growth will be when the version becomes available to everyone?

We did not react because there is nothing major to react to. Yet... A few reasons:

1. The LTC Core release has a rc1 suffix. This means it is a release candidate. Only power users are expected to upgrade. After all is tested, the final version will be released.
2. This version only reduces the minimum relay fees (0.00001 LTC) in preparation for the next upgrade. The minimum transaction fees will be decreased (0.0001 LTC) in the next version.

* What are relay fees? Basically the minimum tx fee is just a suggestion. If the blocks are not full, you can select a lower transaction fee value. But then it's up to the miners to decide when and if they will include your transaction in a block. You can go as low as the relay fee. If your fee is lower than the relay fee it will not even be sent around the network i.e. the miners will not receive it. It's not set in stone however. Any node can set a custom value that is lower, but don't expect your transaction to be transmitted anytime soon... Wink

Microsoft looking to public blockchains (Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin) for potential use in DDI (Distributed Digital Identity) solutions:

THIS

its becoming more interesting to me the use of BIG public blockchains for data integrity, just like how factom builds software for companies to anchor data on to the bitcoin blockchain I think other companies or groups could do the same in their own way.

point is that the strongest chains will be seen as valuable networks, Litecoin's chain is obviously a great candidate

15 minutes ago I saw something so beautiful and amazing regarding LTC day trading.
Since 15:00 GMT, Bitcoin and Ethereum started a downtrend in gdax, while at the same time, somene put a LTC wall of ~2k LTC buy order and for 15 minutes LTC managed to withstand the downfall trend and not follow BTC and ETH.

We are one step closer of getting rid of this BTC dependency Smiley

The Standard Protocol - Solving Inflation
Thinking we might see €60 Monday or Tuesday, probably will be the last chance to stock up before lite pay kicks in.
I am all cashed out so have flat to buy.

Are you looking at a different coin or how do you come up with that number of €60? Litecoin is sitting at 150 bucks right now.

Litecoin was already dumped hard, it hit 80 EUR a few days ago. I doubt it will go that low again, now the big whales are celebrating and waiting for the lite network pump...

To be honest I don't know. Buy the rumors sell the news. The whales could push this down even further if they wanted and leave all those enthusiastic people puzzled.

nope, read further, they stated that the current solutions are not capable to cope with "the millions of transactions per second the system would generate at world-scale. " I think they will not consider mentioned  blockchains  as possivle candidates of DID

"... we are collaborating on decentralized Layer 2 protocols that run atop these public blockchains to achieve global scale ..."

To me this means they plan to create a sidechain ("Layer 2 protocols") to enable "millions of transactions". They would still be pegged to the public blockchains ("run atop these").

They find the decentralized blockchains extremely valuable since they provide immutable records that prevent tampering. But of course they see that storing all data on-chain is impossible for global scale applications, Hence, pegged sidechains.

What is more interesting in fast changing environment in cryptomarkets, is new positions and strategies are being made and worked on continuously. Litecion came out in this changed scenario as important player seeing it being mentioned with Bitcoin and Ethereum everywhere. Don't really care of the value for the moment but try to understand where Litecoin is going in future.

This!

I knew LTC was going places when it got added to Stamp. Since they are the most conservative exchange out there. Part of the reason why they're still here after 7 years, I guess Smiley

is there any news for litepay ? who is the dev ? Still LEE ?

1. As far as I know the launch date is still Feb 26th.

2. Who knows. Doesn't really matter as long as they know what they're doing. I'd be more interested in who is the CEO Wink

3. Lee was never working for them. They worked with them, to help them make a decent service. https://twitter.com/SatoshiLite/status/943462596929208320

At what price should we buy Litecoin? Do you think it will go down to 120 or 110?

If you are not trader and have intention of getting few x of profit in few months time then price have no importance whether it is going few dollars up or down. If you are trader and have very short term goals then must be calculating every single dollar's difference. No one can tell you with surety that where price will be in short term especially.
its more likely it will folow dailly chart, that means that 160 might hold, if level down then not more down then 156.6, and below 150 almost not likely. trend is changing from bearish to bulish, we expecxt the golden cross on dailly chart on bitcoin and litecoin and tralalal against usd/eur...so for long term investment this is the safest time to BUY & hold, on the downside, there is also an option that the BIT goes down to 5K, but charts and the market doesnt show that...its making higher higs and higher lows, but its slowly, when its a pum its folowed by a dump, but smart money doesnt sell at this levels, but is buying, only week hands, and short term profits makes the market a little choppy.. so here we go, cripto to 600B, SOON
