Litecoin is still at high levels, it will go further up. Such an announcement cannot kill it. There is a big need for a crypto currency that could be used for payments and that is available on most exchanges - which is Litecoin and nothing else so far.

Early Thursday morning, Lee announced on Reddit that he had sold his entire LTC balance and donated the proceeds to further the development of the cryptocurrency that he originally created in 2011 and now develops full-time.

He did this, he said, not because he no longer believed in litecoin or because he believed the price was in a bubble but rather because he exerted so much influence within the community and had the ability to move the markets through his public comments on Twitter and other public platforms.  Huh

"Get Paid to Play your Media on Current"
Charlie Lee "sold all his litecoin" to "prove" he has no conflict of interest promoting Litecoin.

No Charlie, that's not what that would prove!  Smiley

It proves that you are spineless. A disgusting fish faced gook who stands for nothing! Congratulations!

Somehow dumping Litecoin at the top is supposed to be applauded by your nimwit cult?

Hi, I'm Charlie Lee inventor of Litecoin. It is an amazing system for sending value, it has massive room to grow, you should buy it now that its moved from $2 to $300! Oh you want me to show you how it works? Sorry, I don't own any.

Fuck You!

C'mon dude...chill out with that racism. It's a coin that you can still sell near an all time high if you hate him so much.

"The creator of litecoin has sold off all his holdings in the cryptocurrency, citing a perceived conflict of interest.
Writing in a Reddit post this morning, developer Charlie Lee explained he no longer wants to fend off allegations his remarks about litecoin's price are being done for his personal enrichment, and that he saw the sale as the best way to ensure transparency over his actions."

This will surely bring a huge impact of the current price of the Litecoin network and i'm expecting a price drop afterwards! Cool

Let'see...i'm curious: LTC can easily survive with its technology, don't need a dev like others coins.
From the other side, don't really like and understand Lee's attitude

BCH is growing a lot someone knows why?
BTC seems like tired and LTC following...

Still holding anyway

BCH is growing a lot because Ver pumpin him.

While Charlie Lee sells his Litecoin, Roger Ver buys tons of Bitcoin Cash. I'm afraid it doesn't sound cool for major investors. This "transparency" talk is bulls***. I don't buy that and I guess nearly nobody does.

Everything I say is in My Opinion Only!
The transparency by Charlie Lee is good to hear. He should be rewarded since his work went up in price. Litecoin could very well rival Bitcoin in the future. I hope the price will drop so I can buy more.

Everyone is talking about LTC these days. It seems that this time huge increase in its value is inevitable. That tweet by staohilite about development and partnerships explains many things in those few words. I also will redirect some of my holdings into LTC over the next few days.

The deeper the correction the stronger the charge when its over. Right now TA is useless, as BTC is in control of what LTC is doing. It seems that we've locked in to it and tried to break out yesterday but the BCash thing completely ruined the party.
Charlie Lee selling his stack is not bullish, but it's not as bearish as people think. He's an interesting dude and tries sometimes too hard to be clear and transparent (with good intentions of course), which sometimes fails him as it is seen by the general public as a bad sign or bad PR.
Ultimately, once Bcash trading goes live on GDAX and the storms settle down, we'll see actual movement and return to normal for LTC. I still see us in the $320+ area as Charlie selling his coins is not the main reason for this downside.
The current downside completely mirrors what BTC is doing, which is panicking ahead of Bcash trading.
