Litecoin is very popular here in Czech republic. Subway in the city where i live accepts litecoin. I think it has a great future.
Litecoin is a much more practical coin due to its speed and ridiculous commissions. It is not surprising that some campaigns accept LTC, BTC and dont accept BTC.

Litecoin is heading towards 1000$.
Without the free cash party via bitcoin cash, diamond, iron brick ect .. this coin would have been now at 500$ . BTC is not playing fair. Because the cap is so high now we have those made up schemes to give away money in order to bring new customers. With that every coin will reach summits. LTC should have been now at 500$ in my personal view if the market conditions were fair. This will still happen and 1000$ is well possible as soon as people realise BTC forks are over. Then they will come back to the alts as it was back in April.
I also think that the LTC is very underestimated. In fact it is more technological than bitcoin. I am sure that after the introduction of Lightning Network the cost of LTC will start to catch up with BTC with good pace.

The problem is banks and financial institutions are the most powerful and influential groups in this world. But yes, at least they will not take the lead. They can buy or do a pump and dump but they should not be able to break the spirit of decentralization.
