Only recently I have changed a bit BTC into Litecoin, just for diversification. Litecoin seems a lot more stable than BTC, a no drama coin, which I like.

A few days ago I converted some of my Bitcoin to Litecoin too. At the time Bitcoin transaction fees and transaction times were astronomical (it took 2 days to transfer some of my BTC from one exchange to another), so I thought it would be a good idea to invest in some Litecoin.

In the last days I've noticed that more and more people come back to LTC, as an easier and 'less fee' way of making payments, and I must say I'm very thrilled to see that Litecoin really begins to be apreciated the way it deserves! I really believe in LTC, and I hope soon we all enjoy it's real value Smiley

Smiley now the Silver and Gold analogy makes practical sense, save gold, spend silver, atomic swap between.

Litecoin has been the most stable coin so far and now its on an upward trend. Hopefully, it will continue to rise together with BTC and each 100$ before the year ends.

So the first off cahin atomic swap with bitcoin happened... what does this mean for LTC? Why does this actually matter? Couldnt one just OTC trade LTC for BTC on some sort of decentralized exchange instead of having to figure out something as technically complicated as executing an atomic swap?

What am i missing here?

Charlie Lee: Hard Work of Bitcoin Developers Directly Benefits Litecoin. According to Charlie Lee, the creator of Litecoin and former executive at Coinbase, most innovative works done by Bitcoin developers and projects directly benefit Litecoin given the structural similarities between Bitcoin and Litecoin.

Lee explained:

“Every Bitcoin developer also works on Litecoin. Absolutely nothing they can do about that. If you don't like that Litecoin piggybacks off of Bitcoin developers' hard work, it is because you care more about Bitcoin making you rich than crypto changing the world.”

A lot of fiat was traded for LTC, but then LTC was in turn traded for BTC.

LTC's still doing great though.
