I am not so sure. I see at least four faster and cheaper coins in the top 10 which I have used and know for sure about it.

There are still a few I have never used for transfers so far like Stellar, Eos or Tether, but I assume the last one is not a concurrence for Litecoin.

So, there are many concurrence in the top 10 for LTC, when it goes to cheap and fast transfers.

At the end of 2017 during the bubble and especially at the pick of the bubble, LTC was widely used because it was one of the cheapest coins and exactly as you said, with enough liquidity because LTC is listed on all exchanges, but this situation changed significantly in the last year. All these other coins are also already listed on every big exchange and keep the pressure on LTC.

Lately, I personally started also to choose other coins to transfer between exchanges because fees are also lower for many of them and when we add that they are additionally cheaper in transfer and faster, then this is no-brainer anymore.
Most of time, at same speed rate of transactions, if one coin (A) has lower price than another coin (B), the transaction fee at same amount of money to move with coin A will mostly be much cheaper than coin B's transaction.

Recent months, especially since the mid of 2018, blockchain technology has evolved significantly and transaction's fees become much cheaper while transaction speeds become much faster. In my perspective, it does not a problem to wait for 5 or ten minutes to get finished transactions between exchanges/ platforms and I see there are so many coins satisfy that need of crypto enthusiasts nowadays.

I am sure Litecoin will stay in the top 10 on CMC for a long time. I still prefer to use LTC as BTC to transfer, but to be honest, there are many better, faster and cheaper coins to use.

But most of those other coins aren't on all the big exchanges, just some of them. Litecoin is on virtually every big exchange, and very useful for fast transfers.

yes you're right, that's one of the advantages of Litecoin almost all exchanges already support this coin. there may be a lot of coins that are faster and cheaper. but in my opinion litecoin is still the best for the issue of sending funds between exchanges.

Of course, development is needed and I was sure that Mimblewimble is already very close to be implemented after so many months of discussions and announcements about this.

Still, LTC is the second cryptocurrency which was launched and we have to say it, that despite is a BTC clone it was always better and more advanced.

If the crypto market finally turns out to be fully bullish again, I am sure LTC will follow and the price will go up, but if anybody thinks that LTC will start a solo bull run because of Mimblewimble or any other development progress, then I am rather quite sure it is impossible.

I've invested in Litecoin again, I feel that it has a couple of more runs in it.
to the moon not now imho
now btc go down . 9200>8200>7200 where ltc 40-50$
You may have noticed that when the price of BTC go up then all other coins also go upward. If we will think that when BTC will down then other coins will rise then we will be wrong. Because people estimate the market of cryptocurrencies with the market of bitcoin. When the price of bitcoin go up they come to invest in crypto and when the price of bitcoin go down people afraid from all the cryptocurrencies. So we have to think positive for all the cryptocurrencies and have to support the whole system and all the projects. It will give strength to the whole blockchain technology.

Clueless!
Perhaps in the near future, an anonymity protocol MimbleWimble will be integrated into the LTC:
https://twitter.com/LTCFoundation/status/1186652141089427456
Maybe this can have a positive effect on the price.

This is the only reason I have not dumped my LTC, Mimblewimble. If they backtrack or stall or choke on that, I'm out.

However as stated in previous posts, what the hell else is the LTC Coders doing of any note? You can do, or attempt to do,

more than one coding project at a time I would think?
Among POW coins few will have a good future.

Hey, I'd like NOT to believe you. But it is not looking good indeed.

Right now with LTC it is not IMHO, the problem with POW mining itself and LTC, it is a problem, IMHO, on Litecoin not promoting

its uniqueness vs Bitcoin. The Devs are so scared to go off the beaten path, away from Bitcoin Core and again, IMHO, the 'lack' of promotion

and new ideas for LTC to at least 'discuss' if not implement is also way too long. I'm actually kinda 'shocked' they are supposedly doing

Mimblewimble anonymous xfers. Which is something that Bitcoin Core passed on as 'too controversial' from their point of view.

We will see, but they have to 'step it up' big time to compete against what some would argue (shudder) that BCH and BSV are the

true 'Silver to BTC's Gold' as the 'fork' of Bitcoin to these coins. NOT Litecoin! From a price situation, they have a point, from the fact that just

HODL'ing your original stash of say 100 BTC would give you at this moment $32,077.00 USD, in both BCH and BSV for just NOT breaking them out of your BTC Blockchain

does not hurt either. Just saying, newbies, I've talked to don't mention LTC at all, it is all BCH or BSV (shudder)....truly if they best LTC it will be

'the end of times' for LTC. But man, the LTC Devs have to start pulling out more than just Mimblewimble as the ONLY seen project of note and start

promoting WHY Litecoin IS better than BCH and BSV. Because BCH and BSV are promoting they MUCH better prices, as seen today on www.coinmarketcap.com

every frigging day. Again, Litecoin needs to 'suck it up' and act more like a legit coin now, rather than just tag along with Bitcoin Core enhancements, IMHO.

haha u panic man
soon btc ll 30 000$
and ltc 150-300 $ easy
now for miners difficult good drop . and for miners need hold 70% ltc*s . and sell for 150-300 $

You could be right, but if the same $$$ is in Bitcoin there is less risk and the same result for Litecoin anyway. MY fear is that the devs and LTC community

are taking past linkage of such for granted and sitting on their hands. But sure, I have some LTC I can see it going to $150 to $300 USD, when BTC is at,

IMHO, $18k again.  Again, hoping for Mimblewimble doing its thing, without that I'm afraid the linkage between BTC price and LTC price will further erode.

Hope, I'm dead wrong, but then again, I remember when 1 LTC was worth 1/10th of a BTC. So go figure, we may be both wrong.
