No, the only things I changed in the stock cfg file were:
1. set user to my address.rig
2. set-work-batch to AUTO
3. set-short-stats-interval to 15 <-- think this is the only odd thing I did but it shouldn't matter
4. took the comment off exit-on-zero flag

Then ran it, it has happened to me on 2 different 4x 1080ti rigs and a 6x 1080 rig, all have ran fine for months doing other mining.
When they do run for a while (I think my longest run is 14 hours so far) they eventually crash with the "close program" dialog box that comes up so the miner won't even restart until you go click the close program button.

0.33 solved random pool connectivity issue. Good job mate!

I will try it if its working here. Did you disable long stats? Because when that print out is disabled its not workkng.


Did you try --optim OFF? Usually then the 1050 should do better on 0.33 - well but I may be wrong.

For fiji at the moment yes, can confirm that is hat problems with lolMiner. I will try to fix it in 0.4.


An other thing where I thinks its because of the current thread handling - also here I hope to make this happen less often in 0.4.

To set an end to the other discussion:
There was a certain demand for a Nvidia optimized and for a Windows port, too. I have to admit that now with some time behind me a kind of soft start would have been better - first do the more stable Linux variant and later on the Windows cross-build. When 0.1 came out the Windows build compiled first time just the day before...

But anyways, I think this discussion is not new. When optiminer came out I guess the situation was similar, but with Windows miner crying because their profitability on mxminer was gone and they got no proper alternative. Same situation but a few month ago. I believe for the maturity of a coins infrastructure the support of as many platforms as possible is mandatory.

As for the optiminer vs lolMiner part: I still think optiminer did a great job - I myself mined a bit with his miner in the beginning and it worked quite well. On the first versions some stability problems, but also that got better. And the algorithm is still better for AMD miners - the two mining softwares have approx the same speed, but his version is less memory hungry (works equally well on 4g and 8g AMD cards) and most rigs consume less energy on his miner - as said on same speed level.

Only thing I still do not like much is accusing me for not paying attention to the GPL license - without any indicator what makes him / her thinking this. I went through all my code last days and checked back the licenses of code that I did not wrote. Its all either license free (I think English word is public domain) or MIT license, so I think the closed source distribution of the miner is fine. Still you have to believe my words, so here is my offer. As far as I know you are also located in middle Europe - correct me if I am wrong.  If you like I invite you to my home (lets clarify details in private message), so you can have an exclusive look into my sources and convince yourself that everything is fine. If you have to stay over night because of distance I will pay your accommodation or prepare our guest room for you. Be my guest.

With your logic, optiminer was also not necessary, there was mxminer before optiminer, and with mxminer people was also making money, and per day same amount of coins had to be mined no matter how big total hash was.
I have tried optiminer in linux more than 3 months ago, and I was not satisfied, first is says vega cards are not supported, and miner was not optimized for nvidia cards, I dont remember exact numbers but I think I was getting around 8Ksol/s for 1060 3gb cards and only 10k ksol/s for 1080 ti cards. Only 25% more for card that cost 4x more. lolMiner gives about 250% more hash for 1080ti card compared to 1060 3gb card.

Are you happy ?! You should cry. With Linux Optiminer, we made a lot of money. Windows miner did not bring anyone any good ( benefit have only Lol Miner). It ruined the profits. One cake is shared by many more people. Now higher profits are brought by ETH. It's incredible that you do not understand ? Only fools and lazy men look for Windows miners.

When using minor on the main PC, I want to run a miner while doing other work.

fiji - Now, Optiminer is better than lolminer Hashrate different 1000 sol/s

I set mine to AUTO and it seems that it was stable, oh by the way i like the interface of your mining fool, it's cool and I will point all my miners into your pool!  Good luck!!

A few additions:

I immediately get 0 sol/s
I tried --list-devices and it returns nothing under "All Available OpenCL platforms and devices"
When launching lolminer, it detects my 3 R9 Fury devices but runs them at 0 sol / s
I tried reducing --set-work-batch 1   down to 1

Please set an API or logfile.
It's a must have feature to farm monitoring

I second that, especially on low end GPU (1050Ti)

--set-work-batch 6 (Can try higher, my R9 290 went up to 8 before hashrate dropped to 0, but 5-6 has been the most stable for me).

Tested lolMiner-mnx on AMD R9 Fury Nano and R9 Fury-X and I get 0 Sol/s (driver version 16.3.2, Windows 10 x64).
Tested on Nvidia 1060 / 1080 and it's working.

any specific settings required for AMD R9 Fury?

So I don't create a user? I just invent a user name and password and put it in the config file? And then how do I transfer mnx to the wallet? Not clear for me sorry...
