I added Lykke to my watch list, it somehow falling down in last month, i will probably buy some Lykke coins or whathever it is :-D

This is some great and ambitious project you got here. The only problem I see in your project is your inability to clearly define where you belong because many possibilities seem to be opening to you as you progress. Which on the long run could circumvent some of your original ideals and ultimately set you at loggerheads with regulatory bodied.
Call yourself to a definite order, develop your trading platform, put your LKK token on more exchanges. And set up another company to look after other emergent (distractions), err.... Sorry, possibilities.

It is a really an small amount of money if you see in perspective... so, why, is it some kind of experiment with ERC tokens? Or you wanna sell 2.5M shares to some especific investor?

Lykke to offer Visa card
Lykke, a Swiss FinTech company building a global marketplace on the blockchain, launches the Lykke Card, a Visa prepaid card that draws directly from the bearer’s Lykke Wallet.

Members of the Lykke community may present their Lykke Card anywhere that Visa is accepted, online or offline, to pay for goods and services ranging from coffee and groceries to airfare and vacation packages. The Lykke Card allows converting the funds in the associated Lykke Wallet to the equivalent amount in the local currency.

“This means exactly what it implies,” said Richard Olsen, Lykke founder and CEO. “Anyone with a Lykke Card can conduct their day-to-day business in LKK, bitcoin, ethereum and other cryptocurrencies, in addition to the fiat currencies that are tradeable on our platform.”

Lykke launches trading API for the Lykke Exchange
Lykke, a Swiss FinTech company building a global marketplace on the blockchain, is pleased to announce the beta launch of a full-featured trading API for the Lykke Exchange.

Through the trading API, third-party software can easily interact with Lykke’s trading platform. Applications can conduct trades through the API with much of the same functionality as the Lykke Wallet mobile app. The API supports popular programming languages such as Java, C#, and Python. To transfer the money between the Trading Wallet and the API Wallet a Web interface is available.

Is there anyway to look at our trading history for lykke app for android. History is not showing maybe it is working for apple phones? I have contacted support and they are working on a fix for android.

Hey EMS-007, the easy and short answer is that Lykke is a semi-decentralized exchange with direct ownership and instant settlement. This means that Lykke doesn't take possession of your assets (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Colored Coins). Most decentralized exchanges do this too but the user experience is quite subpar, that's why Lykke still need to be trusted with match the trades correctly (and that's why it's not a fully decentralized exchange).

Bittrex on the other hand is a fully centralized exchange, exposed to hacks and other vulnerabilities but also not offering direct ownership of your digital assets. That doesn't mean that it's bad per se, it just serves a different purpose (although currently it does not offer proper fiat gateway, either for deposit or withdrawal).

I suggest to do your own research as here's plenty of information available about Lykke at the official site alone or join our communities at Reddit, Telegram and/or Slack. Its aim is much more ambitious than being just "only" a crypto exchange.

This one looks interesting! Can someone elaborate the advantage of this platform as compared to other popular exchanges such as Bittrex?

Contestants will propose the underlying technology as well as a detailed implementation strategy for making the Alpha Engine Melon-compatible. The winner will receive a cash award of $1500 in addition to full funding for the proposed project. Decentralized Matching Engine Testing on Hashgraph (beta)
Lykke is a dynamic crowd-based movement, and we're always in search of new and progressive ideas! One of the things we've been up to recently is exploring hashgraph technology. We invite you to join us in this research, explore multiple applications of hashgraph, add your comments and participate in our Lykke Streams competition.

Hashgraph is a recently emerged technology that is often said to be able to dethrone blockchain. In a very simplified way, its principle can be explained as a network of computers communicating with each other randomly, in a decentralized way, and incredibly fast. For all operations, such as, let’s say, a money transfer, they create ‘events’ and exchange the information they possess about these and all the previous events within the network. This process is called ‘gossip about gossip’: you not only tell others your news, but you also gossip about what you’ve ‘heard’ from others. This is a very simplistic explanation, obviously, this information is encrypted, and not subject to biased ‘gossiping’, to stick to the same metaphor.

Hashgraph technology stands out for having found a practical application for the Asynchronous Byzantine Fault Tolerance (BFT) protocol, that guarantees absolute security of operations. Consensus about what events have truly taken place is reached almost instantly through cryptographic verification of all the ‘gossip about gossip’ and virtual voting. Mathematics excludes the ‘events’ that don’t correspond to the records of the majority of users, this is how the Asynchronous BFT protocol works. The high speed of transaction verification within a hashgraph allows for a much wider variety of applications than that of blockchain.
