Lykke actually gives you a share of the company. That's worth more than other coins.

Lykke is one of the.....

Top 10 Fintech Startups in DACH (Germany, Austria and Switzerland)

(...)

Lykke (Switzerland)

Swiss startup Lykke is building a marketplace that uses blockchain technology to offer immediate settlement and direct ownership.

The company’s mission is to create a single global marketplace where any sort of financial instrument can be traded and settled peer-to-peer with second-by-second interest payments.

Lykke was founded by Richard Olsen, co-founder and former CEO of OANDA, a leading foreign exchange company.

Lykky keeps so low profile, the price is still not pumped yet, it looks like no traders or whales inside this because it is not listed on Bittrex and Poloniex. More exchanges should be better, but legal issues prevent it listing on altcoin exchanges.

I see it more as a pro that Lykke has a focus on real Investors instead of "Wahle-traders" who manipulate the market up to dump it down right after. I don't think that there are legal issues that prevent a listing on other exchanges. Lykke-Coin represents shares, yes. But that's also true for some other projects, like Antshares for example.

I think that the team made a decision until now not to be on other exchanges and I think it's smart to build a base first, especially to not make a pump-and-dump-game out of it.

Or with other words: Best scenario is to get serious and informed Investors in this who are able to understand the project - not only what it is right now but also what it will be about in the future and that this project really has potential for the long run (unlike to some others) and want to participate with their Investment - without being impatient. And many small Investors is better than only a few big ones. Under the line Lykke did it all right in my opinion.

Antshares is not the share of the company, but Lykke is, therefore you won't find Lykke trading on Bittrex and Poloniex. Similar coins are Iconomi and Vslice, they are dividends shared mode, similar to Lykke. Bittrex's rule is denying the dividends shared tokens.

You can ask Olsen I am right or wrong about why Lykky ain't on Bittrex or Poloniex.

ANS represent shares of Antshares as a system, of the ANS-Blockchain:

"The Antshares represent ownership of the Antshares Blockchain and are used for elections, bookkeeping and generating AntCoins as dividends. While on the other hand, the AntCoins are about the right of using the Antshares Blockchain and are used to pay systemic fees."
https://github.com/AntShares/AntShares/wiki/Whitepaper-1.1

And Lykke is not on other exchanges because it was meant to start on the own platform - Lykke is an exchange. But if you look here:

https://trello.com/b/IV0PH2gs/lykke-roadmap

In midterm: "Add LKK to Poloniex/Kraken".

a good plate form is necessary for accomplish any task..

what i like most at the moment is not the price increase of lykke. but to see that tempus got company here.

Haha! It's true Lykke always flew under the radar here at Bitcointalk but I'm not sure if activity is decreasing at the forum overall, many projects just move on to other channels like Slack, Telegram, Reddit, etc as we seen with recent ICOs, at least moderators and team members hardly pay a visit here anymore. Lykke didn't even use Bitcointalk to promote their past ICOs but I can name more than 10 than start here as their main channel of promotion and then once the ICO is over the thread is locked and forgotten.

I'm really hoping we get another crypto on board soon, something like LTC or ETH. Bitcoin fees are killer and frankly I don't want to move money with BTC anymore until the whole fee debarcle is resolved. Using LTC or ETH would be very much appreciated.

I know that ETH integration was mentioned in the latest update change list, hopefully that will be activated soon.

I have already purchased lykke with last ico at $ 0.05 with my credit card.
My question now is:
Can i buy other lykke in my app but not with credit card but with the btc I have in another wallet?
That is, can i send my btc on the lykke app and then when are they here I then buy lkk?
Thank you

Hey kronos123, yes of course! If I understand you correctly you just want to transfer BTC from another wallet to Lykke right? If so, no problem at all.

It can take a while to arrive since Bitcoin transactions and mempool at breaking all kinds of all time highs so there's network congestion. Delays range from 3 or 4 hours to even 15-24 hours so be patient. If you are lucky enough to send your BTC when there is no peak in transactions then it can go through in an hour or two.

What amazes me the most about Lykke (besides its use cases, its excellent working product and the continous improvement of the app) is shown in the following two graphs:

http://imgur.com/a/UOe4T

1.) LKK/EUR rose by +114% in the last month. Yeah, that is more or less average taking into consideration the big boom of the last 2 weeks. But remember when everything, BTC and altcoins, decreased by 10-30%? LKK was completely unimpressed by this and just continued rising. Thats also observable in the second graph LKK/BTC: Compared to BTC, LKK rose 15% and it didnt even drop a little bit when everything crashed. I think it is really interesting that LKK seems nearly (!) completely unrelated to the changes of the Bit- and Altcoin Market. Yes, it increases, but more due to the improved products of Lykke itself, not because the market is booming.

Fun Fact: The third picture shows the logo of Ethereum besides Chronobank - possibly because of testing reasons. Ethereum integration must be really, really near Smiley

Yes, nice observation, the thing with Lykke is that it's certainly less speculative than other tokens as I mentioned some comments ago (not sure if in this forum). You are getting true equity not just a "software license/token" to use the platform. We have to understand that companies won't go away after this Blockchain craze, Coinbase, Kraken, ShapeShift, you name it, they will be around. Also many other type of focused companies providing consultancy, maintenance, smart contracts, etc. It's easy to spot completely overvalued tokens/assets looking at coinmarketcap but with some you truly understand their valuation.

I personally feel like ETH is still undervalued for example even after this recent rally, but who can really put a value on a single ETH? But ask for traditional investors if they can put a value on a Lykke share, they will most likely have more instruments and tools to give you an approximate amount.

Nick Gogerty, Chief Strategist of Lykke on Slack:

Quote
Lykke labs is a place for corporates, IGO's, NGO's, Govt., Universities and independant research to experiment and do. It is closely linked with Lykke Universities, education and hands on approach

Just started rounding our first Sr. hire to help organize this June 1. Have already introduced the concept to groups at large groups. Will be filling out the "dancecard" for an initial cohort in the coming weeks.

Lykke is presenting to large govt at Prime Minister office level in coming days. I spoke with UNEP/G20/UNFCCC groups this week to share the idea.  Will round the terms and offering in a few days and reach out to a few of the world's  leading  universities,  start-ups, major finance groups globally etc....you get the picture, Lykke has a pretty serious crew working on this.

"So I've just purchased Btc on Lykke's exchange platform with fiat, and was amazed to see no fees on my purchase...
Starting straight with $100, I usually having issues being from the UK in that I often have to buy Btc via USD, from which there's a second conversion fee from GBP -> USD. Let me illustrate:

Lykke
Purchase: $100
Deposited: $100
Bank Int. purchase fee: $0
Bank Int. purchase fee #2: $0
Net spend: £77.60 for $100

Bitstamp
Purchase: $100
Deposited: $92 (8% transaction fee)
Bank Int. purchase fee: £1.50
Bank Int. purchase fee #2: £2.40
Net spend: £81.50 for $92

Note that Lykke's transfer is exactly the same as the exchange rate of GBP/USD; no transaction / international transfer fees on fiat.
NOTE: I do want to make it clear that Btc is slightly more on Lykke's exchange than Bitstamp; currently 2.4% - this is nothing compared to the fees you otherwise have to pay. Just thought I'd post this as it might save some of you a reasonable amount of money - more money left over = more cryptos to be purchased, amirite? oh also want to mention that Lkk's been making some nice, steady gains, might wanna look into it too"

@Lykke Team: Any plans to get DigiByte (DGB) onto the exchange? On a broader note, what is needed (what are the steps) to have a coin listed on the exchange? I love the Lykke app so far and have bought some LYKK, LYKK1Y and BTC already with it, but it'd be lovely if I could use it to get more coins instead of buying BTC, sending it to another change such as Poloniex, just to get them.

Thanks!

Hi Shuxy! Lykke is still in the building-mode and didn't list that many CC's until now, but plan is to list all relevant Crypto's over time. What I will suggest to the team once everything is ready: To collect suggestions and maybe a voting or something like that. I think it's unlikely that Lykke will list as many Coins as Poloniex or Bittrex for example, but the team will listen to community-suggestions for sure.

Thanks! By the way what's your nickname on the Telegram chat?

I can't find you in the channel! Haha 😂

tempus wasn't available anymore, so it's t3mpus ;-)
