So 1 MCZ -> 100 MCZ?Huh

donot you think it is a great idea?
our chinese community are warming up and crazy now.
exciting news.

It doesn't make sense... How can 1 MCZ suddenly be equal to 100 MCZ? Is there something I am missing here?

Hey everyone!

We are at a bit of crossroads and we need your help in deciding.

As you all know, our friends from China suggested that we multiply the number of all coins by 100. So 1 MCZ -> 100 MCZ. This would also affect the coin cap. What  do you guys think about this? We would like to see everyone's opinion on this.

We are also working on returning the old way of mining. Everything will the same as the old app but you will need an active internet connection if you want to mine. We are continuing our work on solving bugs. Every day we solve some and are getting closer to a stable version.

Also another thing we need your opinion on. Do you guys think it's a good move to get into Cryptsy? We have enough funds to buy all the paid votes and be on top of their list right now. This would get us listed there.

What are your thoughts on all of these matters?

Best regards, Svonione from MangoCoinz.

For crypts wait until we have a SOLID working APP. Otherwise its a waste of time.. Really it just puts people off.

Hey everybody,

We've just uploaded the latest version of MangoCoinz which is v0.8.3 and it brings with it bug and crash fixes.
Also, now while mining, the notification LED blinks to indicate that everything is working as it should.

Please tell us if there are any bugs/crashes, and if the app now works and it previously didn't.

Best regards, Srele from MangoCoinz.

Great, thanks! Could I suggest that you specify what bugs you are fixing, so that people can actually test for that?

Unfortunately for me, this release works worse than the previous. On the previous release I was able to mine by forcing the phone to stay awake through another app. Now this only works for about 1 to 10 minutes. If I try to mine without forcing some other process to keep the phone awake, the mining stops the second screen is off or I switch apps. Also, the timer seems to reset in the notification, and its impossible to get rid of notification without force closing. This makes it impossible to use once again. This is on 5.0.2, on 4.4 the app still doesn't launch. I might test on 2.3 later (did not launch before). Bring back v 0.5 until you fix critical bugs and do proper testing before release? Might be an idea to code in failure tests so that the app crashes or hangs on unintended behaviour so that people can submit stack traces

Slowly but surely will win the race though as before we go big the DEVS still need to iron out bugs. so start now and we can go crazy in a month or 2

Hey you have to use a different username like an email address.. then send your coins from the old to the new address from what I remember. Wink but when you send the old coins make sure test with a few first..

Yes you need to sign up once again. And maybe even better store coins on the old app or send it to webwallet so you dont need to pay fee twice.

I have just downloaded and installed this newer blue version and I get this signin error, even when I am logged out of the original orange app.

It is great to see plenty of enthusiasms there.
I will go back from time to time.
There were crazy ways of mining. Those might not be quite practical, energy efficient or cost-effective or safe for smartphones. I won't be overly concerned.

After all, the "lazy mode" mining is going to be put back and everyone will need to be motivated to get the full daily allowance of Mangocoinz mining.  Cheesy

The old app doesnt mine anymore. You have to download the new app, register and send your coins from the orange app to the blue app!

You can still use the orange app to storage your coins.

The only big issue.. You have to pay a fee when you transfer your coins to the new app. ( 1% )

OK thanks for the update, will the blue mcz app superseed the orange mcz app?

Hi I am a long time user of mcz, and have spent many hours generating coins to get to the figure i hold today.

But, i have recently upgraded my android phone to get 5.0 lollipop.

When searching for the mcz app I noticed there were 2 to choose from.

Obviously this was quite confusing, but I just installed the orange one as I know and trust this icon, and thought it would be the best thing to do.

I am now logged in and can see all my coins, but my concern is what is the other blue mcz app on Google play?

If you are planning to migrate users to a new system will you backup my wallet?

Is their a roadmap of changes that explains your goals?

Thanks in advance.

I do not need to answer you questions further.
I was just trying to respond to you questions about My initial use of "Algo"

1) I was trying to point out that certainly Mangocoinz use Sort of Algo but it is not a Hashing-Algo.
2) Even if it was improper use of "algo" nothing is wrong in using it in a broader language use- Just like we are saying we are "mining" which however has become a standard word in the Crypto world.
3) Are we talking under this thread ending  wth " Mine cryptocurrencies on you smart phone" but it is doubtful and MCZ is not even a "crypto"? Do you mean that. If so, you are not the first one. I do not believe that should even be a question.  I would be terribly anxious to get it clarified.

Let somebody else answer either the above points or other questions you were asking.
But do not say it is nonsense when someone is responding to some of questions responding to his posted talk.

...

To reiterate:
I am talking about any sort of cryptography/hashing/encryption, not the method in which they choose to reward physical activity.  Grin Grin Angry Kiss
I'd decompiled the old app before they obfuscated the code and there was nothing of the sort in it. Sending and receiving to their servers was in plain-text.

Like I said, not the algorithm they use to reward coins BUT BASIC ENCRYPTION. I'm not looking to have this conversation with you DOGEbubble since you don't seem to have any technical experience with the app.

Please let the appropriate people answer instead of spamming your huge walls of weirdly formatted text full of nonsense and bury the question.
