What different beatween Matic and Loom Network? As far as I remember Loom Network has been doing the same things since last year and even Vitalik commented them on Reddit...

ChainLink Oracles See Future On Matic Network

Oracles allow smart contracts to develop real-world use cases

Smart contracts are getting a bit…smarter. Yesterday oracle provider ChainLink (LINK) struck a partnership with Matic Network (MATIC), a layer two protocol to speed up payments on Ethereum (ETH).

The ongoing collaboration will allow smart contracts on Matic to leverage ChainLink’s decentralized oracle network. That will enable any and all applications to use data collected from the real world in a secure and decentralized way.

As part of the agreement, ChainLink will create an adapter for off-chain data feeds, which developers can then integrate into Matic contracts.“DApp developers on Matic want easy and dev-friendly access to oracles,” explained Matic co-founder Anurag Arjun. Once live, these feeds can be monitored and used to execute a contract automatically.

Matic uses Plasma sidechains in order to speed up transactions and lower costs. The project aims to become the principal scaling solution for Ethereum dApps, and Matic also has plans to expand onto other blockchains.

Matic CEO Jaynti Kanani highlighted in a blog post that Coinbase Ventures, the exchange’s VC arm, had invested in its seed round. The project held an IEO on Binance Launchpad earlier this year.

In many respects, these oracles could give smart contract writers the best of both the real and virtual worlds. On one hand, ChainLink provides external data for smart contracts to interact with the real world and develop stronger use-cases for adoption.

On the other, it’s a decentralized network which incentivizes accurate data reporting by rewarding data providers in LINK tokens, which are forfeited if the information turns out to be false or distorted.

ChainLink is slowly establishing itself as the go-to provider for data feeds. Although its mainnet launched on Ethereum only two weeks ago, the company had already announced partnerships with the DAG-based networks Hedera Hashgraph (HBAR) and IOST in early May.

All these collaborations are slowly beginning to provide developers with access to real-world data, demonstrating the relevance and value of smart contracts to businesses. That could, quite literally, bring blockchain to the real world.

Price is recovering nicely from the correction.

Main Net coming in SEPTEMBER

It has contributed and i guess you should give a red marker to the contributed word. But you must read the whole of thread carefully and that's already mentioned if this project is still in the testnet and that means there will be a main net in the future. It much better to talk with the team directly through its telegram group.

MATIC has already had incredible gains.  After the expected correction it has stabilized and is already rising at a greater rate than btc AGAIN....

And this coin is relatively UNKNOWN.

Expect another stratospheric rise once it's name recognition increases.  And of course this will happen with the coinbase listing that is about to happen.

So is this an addittion to Ethereum blockchain only? There will be no own blockchain? And what different between Matic and Loom Network? As far as I know they are working on Ethereum scale too... 

It could be that you say it is true that in the future there will also be a big pump. Let's see what happens later and most importantly for now let's just keep up with the developments

Seems Binance has been pumped their IEO for last week (as other their IEOs had big grow too - Bittorent, Fetch etc.) but pump ended already ...

It will not be so long dude, the pattern has shown we will face another bearish trend very soon. believe me some days later and you will see bearish trend happened with another altcoin was getting bullish trend. this is the time for matic to go back again to its initial price before matic got a pump from the whales. I have sold all of my matic and then put my order at the bottom.
It's just temporary.

Today i have checked their trading volume which is quite high above the ETH coin, i don't why people are showing a lot of interest towards the Matic coin, only because their IEO launched on Binance exchange. Most of the coins launched IEO in Binance exchange has increased their price highly and generating very good volumes.
