MegaCoin seems to be steadily plowing other coins out of the way...

After seeing this one, I was going to call Megacoin the Predator of coins. But thought better of it.  Wink

Forget I said anything.  Grin
There are a couple ways of looking at that, the coin that feeds the rest too the wolves. Rule #4 Cardio.

Thank you for the sweet representation of Megacoin A L I E N definitely lol'd  Grin

But I have hit a little snag in my attempts at mining. Currently I am using small time miner and I'm not sure if its the pool going down or my GPU on the fritz but every afternoon when I wake up and head into my basement to check my miners my main GPU is always DEAD this is the second time this has happened and it only happens in the middle of the night.

Ir runs around a constant 85 degrees Celsius which I dont think is the problem.

Any help is appreciated!!

Sounds like you may be hitting thermal shutdown 85c is extremely hot! Anything over 80c is too hot for my taste. That is, if you want the card to last. You may need an extra fan or two.

Alright thanks for the info, I ramped up my fan speed and set some temp targets in the .bat

If you try to reduce the mem clock/core clock. Make it run in less KHs, and watch if it dies

Love the way the hive mind works: ask a question, go to sleep, wake up with coffee and answers.
"Feng Kuang de Sha Yu" will be so pleased Smiley when he gets the news.

Business Anyone??? ...

MegaCoin seems to be steadily plowing other coins out of the way and the 80 / 20 principle applies IN SPADES to the Alt-Currency arena (ie. 80% of coins will represent 20% of the real activity and 20% of coins will represent 80% of the real activity perhaps like the top twenty hashrate coins (count them off yourself as I am called biased for using data in some of these forums).

1) Mining DIFF showing great stability even over some of the best POW/POS script coins  BIG GOLD STAR
2) Market Activity is Steady and Solid showing strong support at the current level.  BIG GOLD STAR

Anyone have information about downloads of the new Client?
On an open laptop I get a magnificent 43 connections on the MEGACOIN network.  ( I use a upnp open laptop to check my local network depth) and worry when it drops below 5 connections (sign of a dying network in my opinion).

What about news on Buying Music or goods with MegaCoin DIRECTLY (without trading into BTC)?
I say that because some of the most vocal alt currencies rant about what can be "bought" with their coins but when you visit the advertised site they seem to only take Bitcoin.  - digeros

" Males, like the one seen in this picture, have pelvic claspers which are modified pelvic fins used for sperm delivery."

might complicate things. they probably also have a different scientific word for that - however it is also possible that nobody frequenting an altcoin forum would know that word then. Cheesy maybe kimoto himself will appear to solve this puzzle ... if his last name is real he is your only hope.

For the record, "Kimoto" is a Japanese name, not Chinese.

Yes, but Chan is definitely Chinese. Kimoto is almost as much of a conundrum as Megacoin itself.  Wink

Oh, yeah. I was always reading it as Kimoto-chan because Kimoto is a Japanese last name. I'm not sure what his intentions were with that.

I might add that Kimoto apparently reads and writes Mandarin, which is also Chinese.

By the way, thanks for that compensation payout, ethought -- I was bummed about the wasted hash...and in the end I got even more than I would have expected. Hopefully you didn't take too big of a hit on that.

Appreciate all you do -- I'm also undefeated on Mega Dice!
